There's a "Drake & Josh" reunion happening and yep, our week just got way better.  The stars of Nickelodeon's mid-2000s hit show, Drake Bell and Josh Peck, will reunite on an upcoming episode of Peck's new show, "Grandfathered." According to ET Online, Bell will guest star as a Kirk, a "flashy tech investor."  Peck has been campaigning for his former co-star to join the show, once telling ET Online that Bell is at the top of his guest star wish list.  "I'll just text him and be like, 'Just keep the next six months open for me, will ya?'" said Peck. "I mean, I would love it and if he was available and into it, nothing would make me happier." Bell has already expressed his excitement about the reunion:  So excited to join my brother, @PortableShua again on #Grandfathered! Ariana Grande Is a Robot
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Truth be told, I think I'm fairly late getting on the Ariana bandwagon. I didn't watch Victorious, or iCarly, or Sam and Cat. The extent of my knowledge of these shows was, in fact, exclusively limited to her co-stars (or, I guess those shows' main stars, Victoria Justice and Miranda Cosgrove, respectively.) And when her rise to super-stardom became impossible to ignore? I kinda just dismissed her as another bi-product of the Disney/Nickelodeon tween-machine. It started, then, as a guilty pleasure. "The Way" popped up in my Pandora stream and I immediately took to it, knowing nothing about the song (including, at the time, who it was by.) "Damn, THAT's the Ariana Grande people keep talking about?" But still, I wasn't totally convinced. Auto-tune and brilliant songwriting made a pop star out of Hilary Duff (who, lets be real, couldn't actually sing a lick) and even managed to pull something catchy out of Lindsay Lohan. So it wasn't a real stretch to imagine that it could w ...

Miranda Cosgrove Takes On Sheryl Crow In Pretty Acoustic Cover (VIDEO)
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Original Song: "The First Cut Is the Deepest" by Cat Stevens Cover Artist: "Despicable Me 2" star Miranda Cosgrove How It's Different: Originally written by folk-rock singer Cat Stevens, Miranda isn't the first to cover this hit song. Channeling Sheryl Crow's 2003 version, Miranda mentions that she was inspired by the "If It Makes You Happy" singer to perform her own, taking on a quiet, acoustic adaptation that is both sweet and simple. Why We Love It: From Ariana Grande to Jennette McCurdy, vocal talent is not sparse among Nickelodeon stars. While you probably know Miranda best as Carly Shay from our beloved "iCarly" (RIP), it turns out that she has some real singing chops, too. We're glad she's sharing them with us along with the rest of the 'Nick' crew. Better Than The Original? Miranda's cover is no doubt very pretty, but no rocks it quite like the '90s badass that is Sheryl Crow. What do you think of Miranda's version? Tell us in the comments or twee ...

The Minions steal Carrell’s limelight
Bury Free Press - over 3 years
A meeting with actor Steve Carell wouldn’t be complete without a laugh or two, and sure enough within the first minute he’s got me in stitches. The 50-year-old may be the star of Despicable Me 2, but he’s definitely not the main one. Instead, it’s the cute, googly-eyed, indecipherable and mad little Minions that steal the spotlight in the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2010 animation. “What are you saying?” Carell says, putting on a stern face. “You come in and you throw that in my face. It’s the Minions this and the Minions that.” Smiling, he adds: “There’s no competing. I saw the first movie with my kids, and what did they love the most? Not Dad, or what Dad had done, it was the Minions. “I honestly can’t deny that they are, by far, the star of this movie. They’re funny, ridiculous, and physical and violent in a fun, benign way, but also incredibly loveable.” The Minions – voiced by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud – are set to steal even more of the limelight, he reveals. “A y ...

WATCH: Blockbuster 'Despicable Me' Unveils Sequel Trailer
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
What better way to herald the return of Gru from "Despicable Me" than with Eminem? No better way, apparently: the "Despicable Me 2" trailer has arrived, accompanied by the 2002 hit song "Without Me," which includes the dulcet, R-rated boastings of Marshall Mathers. (None of those lyrics, of course, make it into the trailer.) Starring the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Russell Brand, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan and Al Pacino, "Despicable Me 2" picks up where the events of "Despicable Me" left off: with Gru responsible for two young girls while also dealing with his life as as supervillain. When a larger threat arrives, The Anti-Villain League, "dedicated to fighting crime on a global scale," captures Gru and tries to get him save the world. "Despicable Me," from Illumination Entertainment, grossed a massive $543 million worldwide when it was released in the summer of 2010; the sequel has a prime July 3 release date, meaning the total gross could be even greater ...

iGoodbye, ‘iCarly’
Wall Street Journal - about 4 years
The finale episode of Nicklodeon's long-running comedy "iCarly" aired tonight with a special episode titled "iGoodbye." Speakeasy has covered the show a number of times, with interviews with Miranda Cosgrove and co-star Jennette McCurdy. McCurdy also wrote this moving essay about her mother's battle with cancer here. The show was that rare comedy aimed at younger viewers that parents found themselves watching and enjoying even when the kids weren't home. It was also nice to see a mainstream portrayal of an internet show that didn't involve criminal or felonious scams or anything non G-rated. What do you think of the end of "iCarly"? Leave your thoughts, and watch some video interviews with the stars, after the jump.

The Father of All iCarly Episodes Is Also The Finale
Boom Tron - over 4 years
\ How do you mark the end of an era? For iCarly, the series plans to say good-bye while finally saying hello to a certain someone’s father. Fans of the Nickelodeon show have never met Carly’s dad, Colonel Shay. For five seasons, he has been stationed overseas. In fact, when First Lady, Michelle Obama made her unforgettable guest appearance on the show, the topic at hand was military families and their sacrifices. While it may be sad to say good-bye to the series, the season finale will also mark Colonel Shay’s first appearance, and that’s going to make Carly one very happy camper. The finale will be an hour-long special. I’ve got spoilers! The heart of the episode revolves around an Air Force father-daughter dance. Since Colonel Shay obviously can’t escort Carly to the dance, Spencer will insist on being her date. That plan falls through also, when Spencer falls ill. Next, Freddie, acted by Nathan Kress and Gibby, played by Noah Munck will try to get Carly excited by the idea ...
