Molly Kazan
Molly Kazan was an American dramatist and playwright. Kazan was born Mary Day Thacher in Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of Emma Cecelia (née Erkenbrecher) and Alfred Beaumont Thacher, a lawyer, and the granddaughter of Elizabeth (Day) and classicist and college administrator Thomas Anthony Thacher. Her uncle was lawyer Thomas Thacher. She was the first wife of the acclaimed, but controversial, film director Elia Kazan.
