Nick Zano Calls Kat Dennings The J.D. Salinger Of '2 Broke Girls'
MTV News - over 5 years
Week after week on the CBS series "2 Broke Girls," Kat Denning's cupcake-making waitress Max slings some of the sassiest lines on the small screen, displaying her biting wit and been-there-done-that attitude. She's so good at being so feisty, we had to ask her co-star and on-screen love interest Nick Zano if she's anything like that in real life.
"From the very first moment I met Kat, literally shaking hands, we shook hands [and] I'm like, 'Alright, I got you,' and she's like, 'I kind of get you,' and it worked," he told MTV News. "We were very comfortable working together, which is very nice. She's extremely talented, but that’s not new news. She's like a recluse, which is really interesting. Kat's a recluse. She's the J.D. Salinger of '2 Broke Girls.'"
Of course, working on a show like "2 Broke Girls" means not only trading barbs (and kisses) with Kat, but also working with "Sex and the City" creator Michael Patrick King.
