Twitter Offers Glimpse Into Soul Of Sean Spicer
Huffington Post - about 1 month
No question, nyc bagels are like no other — Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) December 8, 2012 Sean Spicer became a household name yesterday when he attacked the media for their lack of "facts" regarding President Trump's inauguration attendance. While mostly political, rare tweets from Twitter account @seanspicer offer a glimpse into his soul. Here's what I learned from the tweets of the current White House Press Secretary and Communications Director for President Donald Trump: Sean just wants followers, is ready for Christmas music in October, but loves a last minute holiday deal. He wonders if the purchase is even worth it when he sees how long the checkout line is. Sean cracks jokes and loves bbq sauce. He fangirls over Missy Franklin, watches Matt Lauer on TODAY and mourns celebrities celebrities on Twitter. He thinks Pauly Shore is "random" and staying home to cook can save money. He's felt like the oldest person at the z100 Jingle Ball, maybe that's why he loves to turn a ...

Pauly Shore Shares Memories as the 90sFest Approaches New York City
Huffington Post - 6 months
Photo Credit: Getty Images, courtesy of 90sFest Grab your slammer and get those pogs flying because the 90sFest is returning to New York City on September 10th. After captivating the Throwback Thursday generation last year in Brooklyn, the festival is coming to Governor's Island and will take concert goers to a simpler era where Pokémon couldn't be caught using cellphones. Pauly Shore will be the master of ceremonies and is looking forward to the event. Shore, best known for being the king of MTV in the 1990s, told me in an exclusive interview that he is ready to return as the host of the ultimate gathering that proudly celebrates nostalgia. "I like the energy. I did it last year when we did Brooklyn and that's why I'm coming back. It's a really cool environment. And the '90s were a really fun time for me, before the internet obviously. People didn't care as much. People were just having fun," he said. Pauly Shore is no stranger to being a man that shows people a good t ...

20 Years Ago, 'A Goofy Movie' Became the Blackest, Most Underrated Nerd Classic of All Time
Huffington Post - over 1 year
This post was originally published on BlackNerdProblems.com. I can't stay calm any longer. You have to come with me on this journey. You might hate it at first - you might be all like "there's this other thing that's really important," but I promise you, take this journey with me and you'll thank me for reminding you of what you very well might've forgotten. A little context first: I recently sat with someone who watched A Goofy Movie for the first time. "Watched" would actually be a generous description of her activity as she half-watched the movie playing in the background as she online-shopped for her Halloween costume on Urban Outfitters' website. Yes, you read that all correctly, and yes, your likely deductions are right - she's neither a nerd, nor Black. Now aside from being taken aback from a complete lack of nostalgia and enthusiasm, there are certain things you just don't shade, and a person's favorite childhood movies are one of them. Even if you don't dig it, basically ...

The 16 U.S. Cities That Top Every Internet List For Being Awesome
Huffington Post - almost 2 years
By: Matt Meltzer Next to pro sports teams and maybe famous citizens not named Pauly Shore, nothing gets people talking city pride like a "best-of" Internet list. "Most Livable City," or "Sexiest City," or "Best Small Town to Start a Knitting Blog," you get the idea. But what about a list that ranks the cities at the TOP OF MOST LISTS?!?! Pretty meta, right? Well, that's exactly we've compiled. After culling 44 different best-of lists from all over the World Wide Web, we gave cities points based on where there fell in the top 10. Then we tallied the results and -- out of a total of 50 locales -- determined the 16 towns that are pretty much the best at FRICKIN' EVERYTHING! More: The 40 Biggest US Cities, Ranked by Their Food Credit: Flickr/a4gpa 16. Provo, UT While definitely not high on anybody's list for best beer, nightlife, or sex, Provo is the spot to settle down, raise a family, and start a business. LOOK: Bradley Cooper Gets A Perm!
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
It’s not just the ladies who get perms –male movie stars change their hairstyles too! Bradley Cooper was spotted on the set of his new film sporting a dramatically different ‘do that is reminiscent of Justin Timberlake during his curly haired ‘N Sync days. (So that’s why Bradley was wearing hair rollers a few weeks ago!) The 38-year-old reunited with his “Silver Linings Playbook” co-star Jennifer Lawrence (who also changed her hair recently) and director David O. Russell on the film which is still untitled. Maybe he's hoping that his awesome new 'do will earn him another Oscar nomination? Cooper isn't the only male celebrity who has curly locks. Antonio Banderas, Josh Groban, Adrian Grenier, Pauly Shore and Weird Al Yankovic are also famous for their perms. However Justin Timberlake is trying to leave his cute curls behind; the "Suit & Tie" singer revealed flattened locks at the 2012 Grammy Awards. What do you think of Bradley Cooper's perm? WATCH: Who's DTF? Not The Women Of LA
Huffington Post - about 4 years
Kendrick Lamar once rapped about how people come to Los Angeles for "women, weed and weather," but another rapper doesn't seem to have much luck when it comes to LA ladies. Comedian DJ Lubel teamed up with celebs Pauly Shore, Jaleel White (otherwise known as "Urkel"), and Dennis Haskins -- a.k.a. Principal Belding -- to complain-sing about how difficult it is to get laid in the City of Angels. The video starts when Lubel first moves to LA from New York City and his LA-native friends have to disabuse him of his East Coast sex-pectations. Sure enough, at the end of the evening, Lubel is singing the blues: "So we drive around from James Beach to St. Nicks, and end up at Canter's empty-handed and pissed." The music video contains the worst kind of stereotypes about LA women: that they're obsessed with money and status, have fake breasts and rely on cocaine (and Runyon Canyon!) to stay thin. Other digs: Persian ladies struggle with body hair and Valley chicks aren't worth ...

When we recently came across this photo of Daisy Fuentes palling around with fellow '90s MTV VJ Pauly Shore, it got us thinking: What are all these former cable stars up to now? MTV VJs have taken many forms over the years. Death Race : Who Has the Best Celebrity Endorsements?
Huffington Post - over 4 years
By Chris O'Shea, GQ This story originally appeared on GQ.com: Comparing Mitt Romney and Barack Obama's Celebrity Endorsements Election day is closing in fast, and Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are both carefully refining their message to the American people and obsessing over every data point. Words will be scrutinized and numbers will be crunched. But of course, none of that matters. What is truly essential to any presidential campaign is celebrity endorsements. And given that celebrities thoroughly enjoy being celebrated, plenty of them have spoken up and shared their support for either Romney or Obama. In fact, we now have enough celebrity endorsements for each candidate that we can predict who will win the election. Here is a review of the major players, and then the final result. Key Endorsements for Romney Scott Baio Baio -- better known as Dr. Jack Stewart on Diagnosis Murder, a mid-90s drama about doctors who solve crimes with terrible puns -- is a big time ...

Hurray. – SMALLVILLE Writers Near Deal To Write Vin Diesel Vehicle THE MACHINE
Boom Tron - over 4 years
Apparently, even this shit doesn’t write itself. I guess I would do it, too.  Not that anybody’s offering, but let’s say I was up to my neck in plush sofa one day, and a knock came at the door (by the way, even this most basic element of the hypothesis, like, never happens), and I was inclined to disentangle myself from the myriad of pillows and cushions and microfiber throws to get up to answer it, and on the other side stood, let’s say, somebody in a business suit with a brown paper bag full of cash and a contract to write a color-by-numbers schlock script for Vin Diesel’s next picture, I’d probably have to say, “Sure, why the hell not?” Of course, my door is accessible for knocking only if one is buzzed through a preliminary door at ground level and is then capable of solving the moving puzzle of three opposing inward-swinging doors that comprise the tiny vestibule in front of my building.  But nobody brings bags of money to my door, or for that matter, bags of sandwiches that ...

Star-A-Scopes with Dan Cummins: Like horoscopes but decidedly anti-Rush Limbaugh
Laugh Spin - almost 5 years
Aries: Time for some financial advice, Aries. Apply for every credit card you can this week, and, as soon as you get ‘em, max ‘em out with no thought of paying them back with fun purchases of stuff like a new iPad, a Mustang convertible, and a cotton candy machine. Then, when you’ve completely destroyed your credit, and have nothing left so spend, declare bankruptcy, eliminate all your debt, and get a real job where you can reminisce about this week on your lunch breaks for the rest of your life. Oh, and on Friday, Rush Limbaugh is going to anally rape your Basset Hound. Taurus: Fortify your home this week, Taurus. Barricade the doors and nail the windows the shut. Hide in the basement with as much water and dry goods as you can get your hands on. The assault will begin Thursday. Hundreds of ignorant right-wing nut jobs are going to attack your home with pitchforks and clubs. They’re pretty sure you worship the Devil. And they think you may also be gay, a minority, or a slut.
