'Mistresses' Finale: Alyssa Milano Promises All Will Be Revealed
Huffington Post - over 3 years
"Mistresses" is coming to an end and all will be revealed in the finale. On the summer series, Milano plays Savannah 'Savi' Davis, a lawyer who has an affair with a colleague while trying to start a family with her chef husband. "I play a woman that cheats on her husband in the first episode," series star Alyssa Milano told The Huffington Post while promoting Febreze's new Sleep Serenity collection. "And she gets pregnant and she doesn’t know who the father of the baby is. So, in the finale we will definitely know who the baby daddy is." "Mistresses" also stars Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan. Milano said the role was challenging. "It was hard to play a woman whose life is completely unraveling based on a decision that she made," she said. "It was a very emotional time because our writers were smart enough that they tried to stay true to what a person would actually be going through, they didn’t glorify what she had done, so it was a lot of emotional stuff to play, whic ...

Will Arnett's Latest Leading Role Hits Close To Home
Huffington Post - over 3 years

Will Arnett: 'I've Found My Happiness'
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Viewers who tuned into "Arrested Development" this weekend saw a different side of newly single actor Will Arnett -- a more toned, fit side. Arnett revealed in an interview with Details magazine that after separating from Amy Poehler, his wife of nine years, in September 2012, he turned to the gym to blow off some steam. "If going to the gym obsessively for eight, nine months was my way of dealing, then let that be my worst problem," he said in the magazine's May issue, which hit newsstands earlier this month. Arnett also revealed that, though he still believes in the institution of marriage, he's scared to date again. "I don't know what you do. Do you put out an announcement in the trades? I'M DATING!," he joked. "It all seems very scary to me, to be honest. So I'm kind of keeping pretty close counsel right now." Arnett and Poheler have two kids together, whom Arnett credits with providing him happiness. "I'm 43, and I've found my happiness -- which is my ki ...

Lorraine Devon Wilke: The Other Lincoln Movie: Indie Feature Saving Lincoln Premieres on Lincoln's Birthday
Huffington Post - about 4 years
As we approach the Oscars with their coveted acknowledgement of the best in film, all bets are on Daniel Day-Lewis and Steven Spielberg's Lincoln to win the lion's share of top prizes. But as that big budget feature makes the rounds as top contender with both audiences and critics, another film based on our 16th president, Saving Lincoln, has been nurtured into life by a team of filmmakers who approached it with a unique vision and a desire to create a kind of film no one had ever seen before. It is now set to premiere in Los Angeles on February 12th... yes, the day of Lincoln's birthday. As a film lover and observer of many an artistic process, I found the technical and creative mission statement of this independent feature particularly intriguing. Given that my brother, Tom Amandes, was ultimately cast in the lead role, I was able to get just a bit of an inside look at the "little Lincoln" that was coming together simultaneous to the "big" one. The angle here isn't ...

It's Over For Will Arnett, Amy Poehler
Huffington Post - over 4 years
After nine years of marriage, Amy Poehler and Will Arnett have separated, their rep confirmed to Us Weekly. A source tells Us that Poehler and Arnett's split is "amicable." The comedy couple first began dating in 2000, a year before Poehler landed a spot on "Saturday Night Live" and Arnett's "Arrested Development" role kept him across the country. "When we first started 'SNL' and 'Arrested Development,’ we were in different cities for three years," Poehler told USA Today in 2007. "We did see each other. We went back and forth." "We saw each other twice," Arnett cut in jokingly, a perfect example of the all-comedy, all-the-time kind of relationship the couple's fans assumed was still a reality for the pair. Two years later, on August 29, 2003, they married. But the couple's relationship extends far beyond their personal lives and the two children they share: Archie, 3, and Abel, 2. Poehler played wife to Arnett's George Oscar "G.O.B." Bluth in 2004 on "Arre ...

Costume Designers Guild Awards: Hollywood Dresses Up to Honor Those Who Dress Up Hollywood
TV Week - about 5 years
It's the one night of the year when costume designers in film and television get more glory than the actors who wear their creations in an event that has a rep for being loose and rollicking, the Costume Designers Guild Awards. Actress Jane Lynch, outfitted in a stunning long red gown, ably hosted the 14th annual edition of the gala awards ceremony, held Tuesday night at the Beverly Hilton’s International Ballroom, which was packed with well-dressed attendees. Lynch has close ties with a double honoree of the evening, “Glee” costume designer Lou Eyrich, who was awarded with trophies for Career Achievement in Television, presented by Ryan Murphy, and for Outstanding Contemporary TV Series. The actress recalled their initial encounter for the Fox show. "The first fitting, she gave me an off-the-rack Adidas track suit. She had ripped it apart. But I am so hard to fit, she (Eyrich) just said, 'We're going to have to make them for you.' Now I have 35 custom track suits in my war ...
