About Prescott, AR

Prescott, a small town in Nevada County, Arkansas, has a population of 3,686 (2000 US census). The city is the county seat of Nevada County. Jorge and Maria Villegas painted the town mural which displays various aspects for which Prescott is renown. The mural is in the center of downtown Prescott and visible at the intersection of US Highway 67 and Arkansas Highway 24. It depicts several facets of historical Prescott, which focus on the lumber industry central to its past.
