Samuel James "Sam" Cassell Sr., is a retired American professional basketball player and current assistant coach for the Washington Wizards. The 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m), 185 lb (84 kg; 13.2 st) point guard was selected out of Florida State University by the Houston Rockets with the 24th overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft.
