Shannon Spake
Shannon Spake is a NASCAR correspondent for ESPN. Spake contributes to both NASCAR Countdown and NASCAR Now, and occasionally appears on SportsCenter to give pre and post-race reports. Also works as a sideline reporter for SEC on ESPN basketball games as well as college football games. Before coming to ESPN, Spake worked at Speed Channel, where she co-hosted NASCAR Nation in its second version (June through November 2005) and was a reporter in its first (February through June 2005).

College football is now officially back because your opening week college football announcing schedule has arrived!  And the best part about the 2012 season... no Craig James!  Let's pause for a brief happy dance! All righty then.  Craig James is out of the booth this season and so is AA flagbearer Pam Ward.  Don't worry though, the Pammies will always be a part of Awful Announcing (at least until we're overthrown in a bloodless coup... well, hopefully it'll be bloodless).
