Woody Allen's Much Younger Ex Was 17 When They Dated, But She Says He's NOT A Child Molester! See The Vid!
Perez Hilton - about 3 years
Looks like Barbara Walters isn't the only one with Woody Allen's back! Piers Morgan interviewed the 78-year-old filmmaker ex-girlfriend Stacey Nelkin on Monday night's and, believe it or not, she RUSHED to his defense. She passionately believes, apparently, that the Crimes & Misdemeanors director is incapable of molesting children and that Mia Farrow is merely a "woman scorned." Stacey also claimed that she and Woody started dating while she was 17 and he was 42. For those without calculators, that's a 25 year age difference! Uuhh, doesn't that also mean they got together when she was a minor? We aren't sure this revelation is going to garner the A-list auteur any additional support. Ch-ch-check out Stacey's defense of the director for yourself...AFTER THE JUMP!!! As you probably know by now, Woody was recently re-accused of sexually assaulting Dylan Farrow. She wrote a heart-breaking letter describing those alleged crimes in painful detail. He continues to deny all ...

Stacey Nelkin: My Favorite Porn Films: Nostalgia Edition
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
In the '70s, if you wanted to see a porn film, you'd have to go to Times Square or to a handful of legit movie theaters uptown. There you'd find creepy men in trench coats who would masturbate a few rows in front of you as you watched a flick. (You didn't even have to pay extra for that!) Yes, it was tawdry, but also a little bit hot. There were always some couples in attendance, who were likely cheating on their spouses with one another. The vibe in the theatre was one of unabashed, raw sexuality. Today, however, all you need is your laptop, a decent porn site like YouPorn, and the world of porn is at your fingertips. No need to worry about strangers enjoying themselves in your sight line. Though I prefer the modern means of porn viewing -- privately and at home -- I'm sometimes wistful for the slower, less immediate method of porn consumption. The porn films I like best are the ones I saw in those public spaces in the '70s and '80s. What can I say? I'm a sucker for nos ...

30 Ways Kids May Benefit From Divorce, According To Readers
Huffington Post - about 4 years
The last thing any parent wants to do is put his or her child through divorce. Though it's impossible to deny the many hardships children of divorce face, sometimes a split can actually have a positive impact on kids, as writer Stacey Nelkin recently suggested in a HuffPost Divorce blog. "While divorce may be traumatic for children, it cannot be worse than growing up in a home where their parents can barely contain their animosity towards one another," Nelkin wrote. With that quote in mind, we asked our followers on Facebook and Twitter to share with us the ways they feel their children benefited from divorce. Click through the slideshow below for some of the most interesting responses -- including a few answers from children of divorce themselves -- then head to the comments to weigh in with your thoughts. Stacey Nelkin: Divorce Is Never Easy
Huffington Post - about 4 years
A recent poll in Britain shows that even divorcees feel that getting divorced is too easy. Maybe it's because I'm an American, but I beg to differ. I've been through two divorces, and while the first was relatively simple because I signed a pre-nuptial agreement, neither experience could be described as easy. Heart and gut wrenching was more like it. Saying goodbye to all that could and should have been was incredibly anguishing. Yes, having signed a prenup made the logistics of uncoupling with my first husband a cakewalk compared to the long and arduous divorce with my second husband, but both were emotionally draining. The prenup only obviated the need to discuss who gets which couch and who gets which stocks. And given that I didn't have children from either of those unions, the difficulty of those divorces paled in comparison to what my friends with kids experienced when their marriages ended. For many, it was the most tortuous period of their adult lives. One ...

Stacey Nelkin: 5 Ways To Have A Hotter Sex Life
The Huffington Post - about 4 years
Love and lust are very different -- especially when it comes to a marriage. Keeping the love alive is relatively easy, but maintaining passion for one another after years of marriage is damn near impossible. In a recent article in The New York Times, Sonja Lyubomirsky, professor of psychology at the University of California at Riverside, explains the limits of lust in long-term relationships. She says that we can expect to stay turned on to our spouses for about two years and then perhaps again 18 or 20 years later when the kids go off to college. So what are you supposed to do during those not-so-steamy 18 years? The key is to keep it fresh -- make your marriage feel new and exciting. We all know what familiarity breeds and it's not desire! We humans are hard-wired to get excited by novelty. If you are striving to "keep it hot" with your significant other, you are not alone. Even Brad and Angelina have to work at it. And when children enter the mix, finding th ...

Stacey Nelkin: What To Do If Your Ex Moves On With A Younger, Hotter Version Of You
Huffington Post - over 4 years
Breaking up is painful, stressful, and all-consuming. But for many, the real torture comes after you've somewhat recovered and you find out that your ex has a new love in his life. That's when the real angst starts. Whether you're of the "hook up" generation or a more mature woman in her prime (don't forget that 50 is the new 40!), it's always upsetting to discover. And with the proliferation of social media, it's nearly impossible to avoid. But for us older gals, seeing your ex gallivant about town with someone younger and hotter is practically a cliché. Remember middle-aged Kevin Spacey drooling all over the very sexy, young Mena Suvari in American Beauty? Or Humbert Humbert obsessing over the teenage Lolita in Vladimir Nabokov's classic novel? Or any one of the countless examples of May-December romances that drive the plots of Hollywood films? This phenomenon goes beyond the fictional realm. Singer Rod Stewart traded in his wife for a younger model. And more recent ...

Stacey Nelkin: Why Cheating Was Great For My Relationship
Huffington Post - over 4 years
As a die-hard romantic, I'm always thrilled when couples that have broken up get back together again. Especially if they parted ways because of something so inevitable as one of them sleeping with another person. And so, naturally, I beamed when I saw that those gorgeous, young, Twilight lovers -- Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart -- are reportedly back together again. As basically everyone with a functioning internet connection already knows, Stewart admitted to having had a fling with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Almost instantly, she was labeled a "bad girl" and the paparazzi, bloggers and Twihards (as fans of the vampire book franchise are called) pinned a figurative Scarlett A to her chest. And most devastating of all (at least to Stewart) -- longtime boyfriend Pattinson moved out of her home and seemingly out of her life as a result of this one indiscretion. Pattinson's reaction to the affair is completely understandable. ...

Stacey Nelkin: 5 Reasons To Get A Quickie Divorce
Huffington Post - over 4 years
Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson did it. Elizabeth Hurley did it. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes just did it. What exactly do all these folks have in common? They got a quickie divorce. Yes, quickies aren't just for sex and marriage. Just like getting hitched quick by eloping in the Bahamas or Vegas, many are now untying the knot fast enough to cause whiplash. Even I did it once. My first husband and I were ill-suited on nearly every level. We looked silly together, with him towering more than a foot above me; we barely fit in the same picture frame. We were also polar opposites when it came to background, temperament and interests (except for acting). We weren't even sexually compatible. Add to all of that the fact that he was almost 15 years my senior and wanted me to play the role of "pretty wife" while my career was in full swing. Needless to say, we were doomed from the start. If we were totally honest, probably neither of us really saw a future with th ...

Stacey Nelkin: Is A Little Vanity Really So Bad?
Huffington Post - over 4 years
I'm an actress and on-camera relationship expert with a teenage girl at home. Needless to say, there's an ample amount of mirror gazing going on in my apartment. Not so in the home of Kjerstin Gruys, a UCLA sociology grad student, who decided to shun all mirrors before her wedding, a journey she chronicled on her blog, Mirror Mirror Off the Wall. The grand experiment began as Gruys was shopping for wedding gowns for her upcoming nuptials. Rather than finding the experience to be exciting and joyful, she found herself becoming obsessed with her body and weight. She had won a battle with anorexia a decade earlier, and she was troubled by the return of the intrusive, overly self-critical thoughts that had accompanied her disease. She wanted to come up with a way to keep this type of thinking at bay. "I just kind of kept coming back to this pattern of perfectionism, and obsessing about my appearance, and I thought, 'If I can't think myself out of it, then maybe I need t ...

'GOING APE,' TALE OF AN INHERITANCE
NYTimes - almost 36 years
CAST three orangutans as the stars of your movie, and haven't you pretty well got it made? The orangutans will spit and gibber and bare their brown teeth, and your human players will look amusingly straightlaced by comparison.
