Comment on Residency Specialist Listed as Unfunded School Need by Steve O
ARL Now - almost 5 years
@Jefferson Your assertion that enrollment has been increasing for 20 years is incorrect. In fact, enrollment started flattening out about 2000 and then actually declined slightly: 2004-2007 were all below 2003 enrollment. The increase in students has been sudden and relatively unexpected over only the last four years. Take a look at the chart in this presentation to see the history of enrollment over the last 20 years. Cover the last 4-5 years with your hand and pretend it’s 2006. There is no way you would have predicted the system would have 22k students by 2011.

Steve-O and New Girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis (George Clooney’s Ex) Spotted Tonguing Each Other Down in L.A.
Gossip On This - about 5 years
Steve-O has a new woman in his life…..(and yes she is real!) The “Jackass” star was spotted out Monday in L.A. swapping tongues with George Clooney‘s ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis. The pair have been dating and keeping a low profile for the past couple weeks. A source told Radar Online: “Steve makes Elisabetta laugh, and that’s her weakness. That was her favorite thing about George Clooney – he was always cracking her up and playing practical jokes on her. Believe it or not, George has a little ‘Jackass’ in him, and ever since Steve-O got sober, he’s very sensitive and introspective, so Elisabetta is getting the best of both worlds. “They’re not serious yet, but they are definitely hanging out, and hooking up. They are trying to stay under the radar, so they mostly hang out at her place and watch movies and order in. But they also hit some low key restaurants around her neighborhood too.” Canalis and Cloone ...

Steve O More Than Just a Funny Guy; Uses Fame to Help Animals
Hawaii Reporter - about 5 years
BY JENNIFER O'CONNOR - Thanks for your great piece on the one and only Steve-O. But may I point out how much charitable work the vegan comedian has done on behalf of animals? Not only has he denounced the cruel treatment of animals in the Ringling Bros. Circus, Steve has teamed with PETA to perform and appear in provocative, quirky, and serious ads that send messages decrying the use of fur and other animal skins in fashion. He’s let students know that they can refuse to cut up the bodies of dead animals in dissection labs. He’s used his public appearances as opportunities to speak up for animals who are in trouble, including leading a protest outside Canada’s Edmonton Valley Zoo, which keeps an old and ailing elephant, Lucy, in isolation. He calls himself a jackass, but for the animals, he’s a hero. Jennifer O'Connor is a Staff Writer for the PETA Foundation in Norfolk, VA
