PUNISHER 'DIRTY LAUNDRY' Thomas Jane is back as The Punisher. Washing the stenchy streets of its 'Dirty Laundry' . . . quite literally, proving he's got the bottle for the job. Actor Jane reprises the role as the Marvel comicbook vigilante he first played in 2004, in a scintillating short film for his RAW studios production company - returning the character back to his brutal, uncompromising roots. Subtitled 'Dirty Laundry', the mini-movie - directed by Phil Joanou scripted by Chad St. John and produced by Adi Shankar - showcased at the recent Comic-Con 2012 to acclaim and is now subject of the sorta internet buzz received by Sandy Collora 's gritty, no-holds-barred 2003 'Batman: Dead End' short film. Hardcore Punisher fans are giving the same seal of approval, to this version which sees Frank Castle, now living out of a van, serving up his own brand of justice on a gang of thugs terrorizing their local neighborhood. Our anti-hero tries to ignore nearby trouble as he sits in a laundrette watching the wash-cycle. However, things go too far and The Punisher proceeds to knock seven bells (and counting) out of the baddies with nothing but a bottle of Jack Daniels - purchased at a liquor store run by a cameo-ing Ron Perlman. He finishes by handing his hallmark white skull t-shirt to a scared youngster. Jane said: “I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish."
