Yahoo News - 5 months
'Fashion month', as September is known, got off to a joyful start last week in New York, where the Spring/Summer 2017 looks were a riot of color and pattern. Phillip Lim took a delicate approach to the concept, covering jackets, skirts, dresses and bra tops in an elegant motif, while Victoria Beckham and Prabal Gurung also embraced the trend.

Some schools have mandated longer skirts for female students, while others have even sent students home for having supposedly too-short skirts and overly snug pants. Then, there are students who've fought back against uniform mandates, whether by bending gender norms and creating petitions to affect change or wearing scarlet letters in protest.
