Where Derrick Rose Really Went Last Week
Huffington Post - about 1 month
Last week, there was a major brouhaha when New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose unexpectedly disappeared before a New Orleans Pelicans game. There was no text, no call, no Instagram, no email, no Facebook message to his coaches or teammates alerting them to his unplanned absence. It was later reported he flew to Chicago for unspecified family reasons. That night, the team lost to the New Orleans Pelicans without one of their top scorers. By all accounts, the Knicks are having a tough year. Their current record is 19-24. The signings of free agents Rose and Joakim Noah from the Chicago Bulls were intended to bolster the team with veteran leadership and bring more star power to Madison Square Garden. Instead, the squad has lost 11 of their last 14 games, and are 5 games below .500. Following his unsanctioned time off, Rose was fined $200,000 for missing a game, a small fraction of his $21 million paycheck. But we don’t have concrete proof of Rose being in Chicago. Did anyo ...

Huffington Post - 8 months
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are officially almost divorced. On Friday, the former NBA player responded to the reality TV star’s divorce filing, according to court documents obtained by People, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.  Odom’s response comes close to two months after Kardashian submitted the initial filing in May, her second attempt at separating from her estranged husband of nearly seven years.  According to E! News, Odom has asked the court to deny any spousal support for Kardashian, in addition to requesting that all legal fees be shouldered by his soon-to-be ex-wife.  The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star first filed for divorce in December 2013, but the couple didn’t officially sign their divorce papers until July 2015. Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October 2015, and Kardashian called off the divorce the following week. “This is a very delicate and difficult time for both Lamar and Khloé, and the ...

On July 1, 2014, Trey Songz released his sixth album Trigga and it debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 105,000 copies.
More Details Hide Details On May 18, 2015, Songz digitally released the full-length album Intermission I & II. Half of the tracks on the album were previously available on the Intermission EP, which was released on April 14, 2015. Songz’s music is generally R&B, and occasionally displays his ability to blend with Hip-hop while still maintaining a production of songs that evoke emotions and vary in subject matters that revolve around the appreciation of women, stimulation of club rave-ups, expression of lust and chronicling the highs and lows of love and relationships. Songz’s musical influences include Luther Vandross, Prince, R. Kelly and Usher. The Grammy nominated Chapter V most notably demonstrates his versatility, vocal range, lyricism and melodic girth as he expresses his eternal love for his woman through singles such as “Simply Amazing” with “Heart Attack” showcasing his vulnerable side that discusses trials and tribulations of love and heartache. “Ladies Go Wild” is a dance-friendly track that stems from his experiences of his international nightlife and travels. The “Hail Mary” track balances sensuality against grittiness and likens the pleasures of a woman to a ‘hail mary’ football throw, while “Without A Woman” exemplifies his appreciation for women over a classic 1970s R&B sound. Moreover, “Check Me Out” effortlessly combines Trey’s rap flow and melodic skills, in extension to “Dive In” which is considered to be his most signature-sounding record that uses suave wordplay to compare his pending conquest of a woman's body to taking a dive in the pool.
