Volga Cansino, née Hayworth, was an American dancer and vaudevillian under the name Volga Hayworth. A popular showgirl on Broadway, she was the mother of actress Rita Hayworth, who took her professional name from her mother's maiden name. She was born in 1897 in Washington D.C. , the daughter of Allynn Duran Hayworth and Margaret E. O'Hare.
