  Dorothy Florence (nee Warr) Sutton died after a brief illness on Aug. 26, 2012 in Abington. She was 95. Born Feb. 2, 1917 in Sunbury, Pa., she was the wife of the late Wilfred P. Sutton, and a resident of Gwynedd Estates, Ambler. The daughter of the late John R. Warr and Dorothy C. Warr of Abington, Dorothy graduated from Abington High School and received her Bachelor of Arts from the Pennsylvania State College in 1938. She was employed by Abington Hospital, social services, Sutton Landscaping Company, she was a substitute teacher for Upper Dublin School District and was a long time employee of Ambler Medical Associates. She also served on the board of Sutton Trading Company.  Dorothy was very active in community affairs, through her church, St. Alphonsus of Maple Glen and many organizations including the Colony Club of Ambler (past president), DAR, Questers, The Historical Society of Fort Washington and AAUW. Titanic (1979), Hawk the Slayer (1980), Masada (1981), Enigma (1983), Lassiter (1984), Top Secret! (1984), Ishtar, (1987) and I.D. (1995). He played a Russian dissident in Clint Eastwood's Firefox (1982). In Granada Television's series The Jewel in the Crown (1984), Clarke played the role of the overtly homosexual 'Sophie' Dixon and as Colonel Krieger in the first series of LWT's Wish Me Luck (1988).
