Whitney Port Got Married And Her Wedding Dress Does Not Disappoint
Huffington Post - over 1 year
Congratulations go out to Whitney Port and her new husband Tim Rosenman! The MTV-reality-star-turned-fashion-designer said her "I dos" in Palm Springs, California on Saturday in front of about 200 guests. And no surprise here: Port donned an incredibly stylish dress for the occasion, which featured a high-low skirt and a lace bodice embellished with pearls. A photo posted by PHOTOGRAPHER (@hannah.costello) on Nov 11, 2015 at 11:31am PST (Photo credit: Hannah Costello)  Port collaborated with Ashi Studio on the custom-made gown, according to Us Weekly.  The groom told the magazine that he was a big fan of Port's big day look.  “There was so much buildup to what her dress was going to look like because we kept it secret," he said.  "I didn’t think it could possibly match the buildup, but I was blown away. She looked fantastic.” Port's sister Ashley, the owner of event planning company BK Events, orchestrated the celebration. She described the day a ...

Ranking The Fashions From The Hills Alumni: Which Clothing Line Do You Like Best?
Best Week Ever - over 3 years
More than trips to Paris and mascara tears, The Hills will be remembered for its connection to fashion. Not only did we covet the going-out tops and high heels Lauren, Heidi, Audrina, and Co. would sport during the work day or late nights out at Les Deux, we watched as they followed their dreams at FIDM, Teen Vogue, People’s Revolution, and beyond. Which means it’s not entirely out of left field that three years after the finale, three of the show’s protagonists have clothing lines of their own. To refresh your memory, Lauren Conrad created LC Lauren Conrad, a collaboration with Kohls, in 2009, followed by Paper Crown in 2010, while her former fellow intern Whitney Port‘s Whitney Eve first hit the runway of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in 2009. Kristin Cavallari is the most recent cast member to reveal her sartorial sensibility, partnering up with Junk Food to curate a high-end line of female friendly football apparel for NFL/Elements. Shira Hirschman Weiss: Martha Luna Medina: Fashion Blogger, Army Wife
Huffington Post - over 3 years
New York City: This may sound cliché, but consider it the scene I am setting for you, one that was set long before any Broadway show or Woody Allen film. Its wide streets were designed to accommodate a wide-ranging cast of eclectic characters. We open with Martha Luna Medina. She is petite, feminine, originally from Venezuela, with only a trace of an accent. She has a cocoa complexion, chin-length hair and is fashionably dressed in a billowy skirt and pearls dangling, Chanel runway style. Alas, Martha is no ordinary New Yorker strutting and fretting her way about the avenues, clicking her heels through the mass of supporting characters in our hectic Manhattan. The "melting pot" takes on new meaning in summertime as temperatures rise and the island sizzles -- not only with scorching heat, but with talent (from writers to actors to comedians, physicians, number crunchers, financial wizards, lawyers... and more). Then there is Martha: During the week, she works for a shoe des ...

DANGEROUS OUTFITS: Cutout Dresses, Sheer Mishaps and Lace Overdoses
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
Transitioning from winter clothes to spring clothes is always a little challenging, even for the most seasoned style star. We also bear witness to some dangerous dares that didn't pan out so well, from Whitney Port's short-shorts to Agnes Monica's overdose on lace. Not Invited To Fashion Week? Doesn't Matter
Huffington Post - over 4 years
While fashion shows can be dull (not everyone is like Marc Jacobs) and the front row predictable (oh, hello Whitney Port, again), New York street style only gets more wild with each passing season. And outside the spring 2013 shows were no exception. On the way into the tents at Lincoln Center, there were hundreds of people milling around, dressed to the nines, hoping to sneak into a show or, at the very least, end up on a street style blog. We talked to a few of these fashion week fans in the video above about what they were wearing (there is a bison bone involved...), how they get past the guards without invitations and more. Editor: Annie Carroll; Producer: Sarah Leon; Videographer: Selene Preston Want more? Take a look at the photos below to see more street style photos from Lincoln Center and be sure to check out Stylelist on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Pinterest. All photos by Raydene Salinas.

So About Thursday’s Questionable Fashion Choices …
People Magazine - over 4 years
Pacific Coast News; FilmMagic; Startraks Was there a full moon last night? A designer clothing shortage, perhaps? Because something wasn’t quite right in the fashion world; we saw more than a few misses, and we’re slightly concerned. Let’s break it down: Miley Cyrus stepped out in New York City Thursday evening … looking like she’d stepped off the set of a Nirvana video (left). Wearing high-waisted jean shorts with a camo jacket tied around her waist — plus some heavy boots and that super-short platinum haircut — she channeled the punky ’90s, but not in the best way. Ali Larter took a big risk at the Bachelorette premiere in Los Angeles (center), wearing a black-and-white striped crop top and matching pants on the red carpet. While the ensemble left us speechless (though Ali definitely has the body to rock it), at press time, 20 percent of you “Loved It” in “Last Night’s Look.” Whitney Port also had a bit of a misstep Thursday (right), choosing a cutout black top, red midi sk ...
