Premios Juventud's 2014 Red Carpet Showcased The Best And Worst At The Carnaval
Huffington Post - over 2 years
The King of Bachata has a new crown. Romeo Santos and Enrique Iglesias ruled Unvision's 2014 Premios Juventud on Thursday night, each taking home five awards. The "Propuesta Indecente" singer dominated the most sought after categories: the catchiest song, the voice of the moment, he touched everything, my favorite video, my tropical artist. The Spanish singer, on the other hand, won for my favorite rock/pop artist and shared four other statuettes for his collaboration with Marco Antonio Solís and Gente Zona. Other winners of the night were Bruno Mars, Gerardo Ortiz, Marc Anthony, Pitbull, Prince Royce and Shakira. In non-musical categories, Angelique Boyer, Eugenio Derbez, Enrique Santos, Lionel Messi, Sofía Vergara and William Levy all had wins. Check out a list of winners here, and take a look at the best and the worst of the Carnaval-styled red carpet below.

Victor Rasuk Joins 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Cast As Jose
Huffington Post - over 3 years
By Michael Lopez Let’s be honest, we’re all still disappointed that Alexis Bledel and William Levy were edged out of "Fifty Shades of Grey." But on a positive note, Dominican-American actor Victor Rasuk will now be part of the main cast. Rasuk first rose to fame on the HBO series "How To Make It In America." He’s also appeared in several feature films, including "Che," "Stop-Loss" and "Lords of Dogtown." But undoubtedly, his role as José in "Fifty" will be the most prominent one yet. He actually plays a central part in the plot and becomes closely intertwined with the lead female character. If all goes according to plan, cameras should start rolling on Grey within a matter of weeks. And if you want a Victor fix sooner than that, look for him in next summer’s Godzilla reboot. WATCH: Is William Levy Seducing Kris Jenner?
Huffington Post - over 3 years
William Levy and aphrodisiacs can be a lethal combination. The Cuban actor stopped by Kris Jenner’s new daytime show, “Kris,” to add some Latino flavor and get the Kardashian matriarch all “hot and bothered” when the two began tasting foods meant to get couples in the mood. (Check out the episode above, Levy’s interview begins at 16:18) Before joining Jenner in the kitchen, the 32-year-old star spoke about his stint on “Dancing With The Stars” and his most recent telenovela “La Tempestad,” set to premiere on Univision on July 29. After the commercial break, the actor joined the reality star and famed chef Candice Kumani for some food to “get you in the mood.” When it came time to taste some wine popsicles, Jenner intertwined her arms with Levy’s and seemed to bite more than she could chew (or keep in her mouth) as she tasted the dessert. Check out the video above and tell us what you think of Levy’s appearance on “Kris” in the comments below.

WATCH: Will Smith's Spanish Is Impressive
Huffington Post - over 3 years
Will Smith speaks Spanish. And we’re not talking about creative phrases like “tengo un gato en mis pantalones” but full-on, complete and comprehensible statements. Accompanied by his young protégé and eldest son Jaden, the former Prince of Bel-Air attended Wednesday’s New York premiere of “After Earth,” where NBC Latino contributor Jack Rico stopped the duo for some questions directed at Latino fans. “For the Latinos, why should everyone go see After Earth?,” Rico asked the 44-year-old star on the red carpet. While other celebs might have simply stared back in confusion, Will gave a big smile and eagerly broke out into some very impressive Spanish. (Check Out The Video Above) “La película basada un mil años en el futuro -- y tengo miedo porque necesito practicar más mi español -- pero la película tiene acción y efectos especiales pero la película es de un padre y de un hijo, como se dice, de...sobre...to survive?...[Rico helps out] ¡Sobrevivir! Sí, Gracias!” “The m ...

Too Handsome For Broadway?
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
The word on the street has been that there is a biographical Broadway play being written at this very moment about Emilio Estefan and his superstar wife, Gloria Estefan. Rumors have surfaced indicating that William Levy is just dying to play the part of Emilio in this Broadway production which, as is the nature of the business, may or may not actually run on Broadway, now or ever. Reportedly, Emilio said that Levy is simply not fit to play him in this musical which will no doubt be filled with Latin music, drama and heat, of course. Could William Levy be “too handsome” for Broadway? Despite heavy accents and clashes with cultures and customs, Emilio and Gloria have achieved the American dream and that is something people want to see and root for, on Broadway and in their daily lives. Like William Levy himself, both Emilio and Gloria came from poverty in Cuba and were immigrants in America, not always welcome. The Broadway show is set to encompass the tale of true love an ...

WATCH: William Levy's New Roles Are Crazy
Huffington Post - almost 4 years
William Levy is demonstrating how versatile (and quite frankly a little crazy) he can get to be with a new Pepsi Next ad campaign. The star is the new face of the soda company's commercials in which the actor dares to have fun and be irreverent playing stereotypical characters like an action hero, a Casanova, a science fiction guy, a rocker, a doctor and an old school divo. "I had so much fun doing these commercials. The character I most enjoyed playing was the Casanova... And Rambo," Levy said while laughing. "Actually, we had many ideas and decided to go for this one. " The Cuban actor also spoke exclusively with The Huffington Post and confessed he has plans to leave soap operas for a while (Sorry, ladies!) to work more in new types of projects. The artist is currently living one of the best moments of his career. After participating in "Dancing With The Stars," new doors have opened for him to do what he has always dreamed of: making films in English. "I ...

Naya Rivera was one of the stars who brought a spark of comedy during the most awaited commercial break in Sunday's NFL Super Bowl broadcast. This is not the first time the company hires a Latino personality to participate in their promotional campaigns. Denette Wilford: 'Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars' Casting: Please Reconsider
Huffington Post - over 4 years
When it comes to all-star editions of any reality show, I'm never a fan of bringing back past winners. They've already had their shot and won. Let someone else have the glory! That way, you can save all the former champions for a future installment, like a "Best of the Best"-type season. See? Win-win. "Dancing With the Stars" recently announced its upcoming all-star season, and it's a mixed bag. The list is dominated by former victors (Kelly Monaco, Season 1; Drew Lachey, Season 2; Emmitt Smith, Season 3; Apolo Ohno, Season 4; Helio Castroneves, Season 5; Shawn Johnson, Season 8), some runner-ups (Joey Fatone, Season 4; Gilles Marini, Season 8; Kirstie Alley, Season 12), a "Bachelorette" reject (Melissa Rycroft), a "Baywatch" babe (thankfully Pamela Anderson, and not The Hoff), and one polarizing contestant who needs all the positive publicity she can get since her own reality show is drumming up some controversy (Bristol Palin). But, hey, if God provides Bristol with opp ...

LOS ANGELES (AP) — He already has a Super Bowl ring, and now football star Donald Driver can add the "Dancing With the Stars" mirrorball trophy to his awards collection. The Green Bay Packers receiver won the ABC dance show Tuesday after wowing audiences and judges with his kickin' country-themed freestyle routine. He and partner Peta Murgatroyd hoisted the glittery prize above their heads after being named the new "Dancing" champs. Streamers and confetti rained down from the ceiling, filling the ballroom as they celebrated. Driver's wife and children joined him on the dance floor. With just one point separating the three finalists, it was up to the viewers to pick the winner. He and his fellow finalists, Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins and Cuban actor William Levy, each earned perfect scores for their last performances Tuesday. Jenkins has top score coming into ‘Dancing’ finals
The Palm Beach Post - almost 5 years
Only one point separates Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins from her fellow finalists on “Dancing With the Stars.” Football star Donald Driver and actor William Levy come into Tuesday’s season finale tied with 59 points. Jenkins has a perfect score of 60. Each must perform one last dance before a new champion is crowned. Music for their final routines wasn’t provided until after Monday’s episode, so they had less than 24 hours to prepare their show-closing numbers. Viewer votes combined with judges’ scores will determine who takes home the ABC show’s mirror ball trophy. The other Season 14 contestants — Martina Navratilova, Gavin DeGraw, Jack Wagner, Jaleel White, Sherri Shepherd, Melissa Gilbert, Roshon Fegan, Maria Menounos and Gladys Knight — were eliminated during previous episodes.
