Jim Carrey confirmed as The Colonel in Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall
Flickering Myth - over 4 years
Last month it was rumoured that Universal was eyeing Jim Carrey for a part in Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall, and following a tweet earlier this week from director Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down) that teased his involvement, the actor has now been confirmed as joining the cast of the upcoming superhero sequel, which is set to begin filming this week. Carrey is the latest name to be added to the cast of Kick-Ass 2, which is based on Mark Millar’s comic book of the same name and sees Wadlow taking over directing duties from Matthew Vaughn, who is of course busy preparing another superhero sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Carrey will portray The Colonel – a masked vigilante who assembles a team of costumed heroes known as ‘Justice Forever’ in order to combat the threat of the Red Mist and his alliance of super villains. Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass), Chloe Grace Moretz (Hit Girl), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Red Mist), Lyndsy Fonseca (Katie Deauxma), Yancy Butler (Angie D’Amico) and Nicolas C ...
