Spokeo will be undergoing server maintenance between Saturday, June 7 00:00 – 12:00 UTC. In the US, that means Friday evening, June 6 starting at 5pm PDT.
During this time, the Spokeo website will be down and unusable, as we will be performing some necessary database maintenance. No data will be lost during this maintenance window.
We apologize for this inconvenience and will be working hard to get the site up as soon as possible.

So, is the server maintenance the reason I just got 77 copies (and counting) of an identical e-mail containing friend updates over the past two hours?
It’s also impossible at worst (and difficult at best) to unsubscribe from e-mail notifications, so I guess I’m screwed. Why is there no Submit button on the settings page? How are changes supposed to be saved?
Ditto – Cannot do anything to stop the emails (83 and counting). Can’t disable account apparently either. This has really turned me off to the website. It was a great concept, but damn, the spamming is unbearable.
spokeo.comJust got this message from Spokeo a little while ago in response to my feedback:

these emails I am getting (100 and counting) is getting to be insane.
We apologize for everyone receiving all the unintended emails. Our system upgrade didn’t go smoothly, and there were some errors with the database replication. We have fixed all the problems within an hour of receiving the first complaint, and in all, about 80 people got affected due to this error. We are sincerely sorry about disastrous incident, and we will implement measures to prevent similar errors in the future.
crazy man..
Thank you for your help!
