Username Search

by Harrison in News Flash

We haven’t announced a lot of new features lately, but that does not mean we’ve stopped innovating. We upgrade our system regularly to improve our performance , which explains why the service is down every two weeks. Most of the works are happening underneath to keep the service speedy as we grow our user base.

We’ve recently introduced username search as a new search heuristic to help you find more people. Now you just need to type in someone’s username, then we will search across all the social networks for their content. More social networks support username search than email search, so this functionality will help broaden your reach significantly. We are still working on tying all the search heuristics together, so stay tune for a more powerful Spokeo to come.

You guys read my mind! I was just thinking I should stop by the blog and ask you guys about plans for new features!

    Thanks, guys, for your support!

Since there are only 5 of us, we can only stare at each other everyday. It gets boring to hear Ray’s voice all the time (even though he’s my buddy), so it’s nice to hear back from our users. Your encouragement is what keeps us going :)

Do you guys have any plans on releasing an API? I’m not sure how this would benefit you but it sure would be great to integrate Spokeo into other services.

Can you please tell me how to delete my account? Yes, I realise there is an option to ‘deactivate’, but I want my account deleted. (Facebook highlighted the difference between delete and deactivate.)

Is there an update about the system being down at the moment? it says to check the blog, but the last update is not relevant.

The site was down for approximately a minute because we were updating some small fixes. You should be able to access it now. If not, it might be due to your browser cache. Please clear your browser cache or wait for a little bit, and you should be able to access the site again :)

We should thank you for posting such a wonderful website. Your site was not just informative but also very creative too. There are very few professionals who can write technical stuff that creatively. we search for articles about this topic. We ourselves have looked through many blogs to find information regarding this.I will check back often !!
