Systems Administrator

<Position>
Job is available immediately!  Must be full-time and on-site. 

We are looking for someone to contribute to all aspects of production infrastructure management including:

  • identifying hardware bottlenecks
  • installing software on servers
  • deploying servers in data centers
  • developing network capacity
  • developing highly available topologies
  • developing server and application monitoring

<Required Qualifications>

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to architect new subsystems as the need arises
  • Engineering mindset (make system robust!)
  • Experience in administering large production clusters
  • Experience in Linux
  • Experience in server monitoring tools
  • Experience in administration of Apache and MySQL
  • Experience in scripting in Perl, Python, or Bash

<Preferred Skills>

  • Experience with Gentoo
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with MySQL replication
  • Experience with Mongrel webserver
  • Experience with the Capistrano deployment tool
  • Experience with NFS, iptables
  • Software development experience
