How is Spokeo Enterprise different than Spokeo?

Similar to Spokeo, Spokeo Enterprise is a people search service designed to meet the needs of business customers by helping them find, validate and connect with people.

Spokeo Enterprise is designed for business customers by offering shared results, allowing them to search as a team with no duplicate costs through an intuitive user interface and account management system.

Account administrators can pull team reports to see who conducted a search, the type(s) of records searched, and when the search was done. They can also easily manage employee usage of Spokeo Enterprise and create a more efficient and effective team.

How is Spokeo Enterprise different from other enterprise search products?

Spokeo Enterprise is easier-to-use and delivers results as accurate--in some cases better--than our competitors. Spokeo Enterprise provides your business with more value for your money through accurate and shared results – you only pay once for the same search result. With a simple interface for managing multiple users across different access levels, Spokeo Enterprise provides the easiest-to-use administration system of all people search tools.

How do I add or remove users?

Account administrators can make changes to user and manager accounts. To add a user - from the main dashboard, click “team members” on the side menu to the left. On the following screen you’ll see the “add a team member” link in the top right corner. From there enter an email, name, phone, and account type. Finally, click the “send invitation” button and an invite email will be sent to the user.

To remove a user - from the main dashboard, click “team members” on the side menu to the left. Click on his/her record and then click on the “deactivate team member” link at the bottom of the form.

How do I change user privileges (from user to manager)?

Account administrators can make changes to user and manager accounts. From the main dashboard, click “team members” on the side menu to the left. Click on his/her record and click the dropdown menu below “account type” to select either “standard user” or “manager” role.

Is there a limit on how many users I can create/manage?

There is no limit to the number of teams and/or team sizes you can manage. Spokeo Enterprise billing is based on quotas of results, not number of users.

Can I download a user report?

Report downloads are only available for people or address profiles. Click on the 'Download' button under the name or address at the top of the page. Additional charges may apply.

What options are available to me for payment?

Spokeo Enterprise accepts major debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and AMEX) and invoice billing. If you’re interested in invoice billing or longer duration plans, please contact customer service at 888-878-0677.

How do I make changes to my plan?

Spokeo Enterprise billing is based on quotas of results. Plans start with a quota of 200 results and move upwards to hundreds of thousands of results. You may change your plan at any time. The new plan will take effect after the current plan expires.

How does the quota system work?

The quota system tracks search results across the entire organization – not on a per team or per user basis. Your quota will encompass any type of search (name, email, phone number, username or address) and is debited for each search result, no matter the type of search. If multiple teammates arrive at the same search result within 90 days from the initial result, it will only count once against the quota.

What happens when I hit my quota?

Once you have used up your quota, you can still continue to search. You will be charged for each additional search result as an overage at a contracted “per transaction” rate (your plan rate divided by the number of search results included). Each overage search result is charged at the rate set by your subscription plan. (Note that this is the same per-result rate you originally paid for your plan, we do not “upcharge” overage results.) If you expect to be over your quota in the next billing cycle or frequently go over, you can adjust your plan for the following billing cycle at any time.

Can I pay per result instead of the bundled pricing?

Spokeo Enterprise plans are based on quotas. We offer a variety of plans to accommodate your search needs. Please contact our sales team at (888) 895-5122 so we can find the one that best suits your needs. If you only need a few searches per month, consider a Spokeo consumer plan instead.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, you may cancel your account at any time. Once you cancel, you’ll continue to have access to your account until the current subscription expires. If you surpass your quota, you’ll still be responsible for any overages incurred that billing cycle.

How do I cancel my account?

There are two ways to cancel your account. You may call the customer service line at (888-878-0677), or an account administrator may cancel online. To cancel online, from the main dashboard click “billing statements” and select “change plans.” From there you’ll see the text “if you would like to cancel your account, click here.” After clicking the link, click “yes, cancel subscription” and your cancellation will be complete.

Can you explain my invoice to me?

Your subscription begins from the date that you create your account. At the beginning of each billing cycle, you are charged for your subscription plus any overages or add-ons that were incurred during the previous billing cycle. If a discount is given, it is applied to the entire bill as a percentage off of the total. Overages incurred in a billing cycle are charged at the end of the billing cycle.

What results will I see when I conduct a search?

To complete a search, enter a name, email, phone number, or address in the search bar. A list of people associated with that entry across the United States will appear. Click on any entry and you will see the data available for that person. Results may include: cell and landline phone numbers, email addresses, location history, family members, social media photos and social profiles, court records, historical records, and demographic data such as marital status and ethnicity.

What happens if two teammates search for the same record on my account?

If teammates arrive at the same search result within 90 days, both have access to the result, but it only counts once against the quota.

Do I have access to all of Spokeo’s records?

Yes, all users have access to the more than 12 billion records available on Spokeo Enterprise.

How long am I able to access my search history?

Search history is accessible for 90 days.

Who can see my search history?

Standard users will only see their own search history. Managers can see the search history of their own team. The account administrator can see the full search history of all users and managers under his or her account.

How can I use Spokeo Enterprise for identity verification?

Spokeo Enterprise can be used for a wide variety of identity verification services, including business use validation for healthcare and homeowner insurance claims, travel and leisure purchases, real estate inquiries, car dealer marketing and more. Spokeo Enterprise does not possess or have access to secure or private financial information. Spokeo Enterprise is not a consumer reporting agency and does not offer consumer reports. Spokeo Enterprise cannot be used for purposes of determining any individual’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing, or for any other purposes covered under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

How can I use Spokeo Enterprise for fraud prevention?

Spokeo Enterprise is a great tool for fraud prevention as business users can use it to search for a person and match the person’s name with an address or phone number or other personal data to verify identity and reduce or mitigate fraud. If you have cases where identity is in question (ie: when shipping address, billing address and credit card address provided don’t match), then Spokeo is an excellent tool for helping verify identification.

How can I use Spokeo Enterprise for debt collection?

Spokeo Enterprise is a great tool for debt collection as business users can search by name and/or outdated contact information in order to access more recent contact information for those they are looking to get in touch with.

Where does Spokeo get its data?

Spokeo Enterprise organizes data from various sources, including marketing surveys, phone books, real estate listings, social data (that has not been deemed private) and other public sources. This third party data is then indexed within Spokeo Enterprise’s system and organized into listings making it easy for business and consumer users to connect with people. Spokeo Enterprise has recently made major improvements to its data processing system allowing you to connect with people more easily and more quickly than ever before.

Does Spokeo guarantee data accuracy?

Spokeo Enterprise organizes data from more than 30 sources. We work to ensure that we get data from the best possible sources and are making new additions and improvements regularly. In order to improve and double check accuracy, we look for redundancy within our system to confirm we have the correct information.

Please note that as much as we strive to provide you with the most recent and accurate data, Spokeo does not guarantee accuracy for every record. Spokeo Enterprise’s terms of use also clearly state that Spokeo Enterprise cannot be used for purposes of determining any individual’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing, or for any other purposes covered under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

How do I opt out of Spokeo Enterprise/remove my listing?

Spokeo Enterprise respects your privacy interests. You can easily opt out of Spokeo Enterprise’s public search here. Please note that the information aggregated by Spokeo is publicly available – opting out of Spokeo Enterprise does not remove the information from its original sources. You can remove the search results derived from performing any Name Search, Reverse Phone Search, Reverse Email Search and Username Search.
