They called my minor daughter on her cell phone stating that they were from the "summon" division and that two frauds associated with John Moore and his SS number were going to cause summons to be filed. They left a case number.
I called to ask the name of the firm and was told by a female operator that the summons division was the name of the firm. I asked again, "division of what legal firm" (assuming it was a law office to begin with). I was told this time that the summons processing department was the name of 'her" company. Then she asked why I was asking questions and did I have a case number. I told her that my minor child was receiving these frightening calls on her cell phone and I wanted it stopped. She asked me for the number which I was ok to supply and was told that her number was removed from their system some 40 minutes earlier.
Which is interesting because the number is based in Washington state yet she gave an east coast time for the removal. I suspect that this is a redirected number or using something like Magic Jack as a VOIP number.
I am reporting this scam to my wireless provider and the attorney general's office. (not that that will help)
