Fraud. Requested funds to help friend with court case

Called 90 year old Grandmother claiming her grandson was in jail and needed $8000 to drop charges.

Claimed to be my nephews attorney and wanted me to send $2000. in gift cards for bail. I called the police dept. and bar association and looked up the phone number. It was a scam.

"Grandson" called with supposedly broken nose and in jail after a car accident. Needed 2500 to bail him out. Call went to "attorney," who gave info on how to use gift card from Walmart to get him out today, instead of waiting 48 hours. Wanted me to get gift card and provide him with the numbers on the gift cards. Was totally bogus...grandson was not in jail, and never has been. What a low-life bunch these people are...trying to scam money from grandmas. Should be ashamed.

This was a call to our house regarding a grandson in jail. Scam call Beware!

Someone called claiming to be my cousin and needed money for bail after being arrested following a car accident. This is a scam!!
