Founded in 2006 by a group of Stanford graduates, Spokeo has grown to nearly 100 team members with offices based in Pasadena’s historic old town neighborhood. To learn more about the Spokeo team, visit our jobs page. The leadership team is listed below, click on a name to view biographies.
- Mike Daly
Chief Software Architect & Co-Founder
Michael S. Daly
Chief Software Architect and Co-founder, Spokeo
As the Chief Software Architect and one of Spokeo’s four co-founders, Mike oversees various aspects of the site’s frontend operations including project management, software architecture and software development.
Prior to Spokeo, Mike was a software architect at 5Square Systems, Inc. He also gained experience as a lead software architect for Stanford Student Enterprises, a software developer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and a web applications engineer for Boeing Satellite Systems. He graduated from Stanford University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Mike resides in Pasadena and in his free time enjoys outdoor activities of all kinds but especially soccer, tennis, basketball, hiking and camping.
- Harrison Tang
President & Co-Founder
President and Co-Founder, Spokeo
In his role, Harrison is responsible for the overall direction and product strategy for the company. He leads the team focusing on building an easy-to-use system that can aggregate billions of records and return results within one second.
Harrison grew up in the Silicon Valley and attended Stanford University and received his Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Electrical Engineering and his Master’s in Electrical Engineering in 2005.
He resides in Pasadena and when he’s not playing video games, he’s shooting three-pointers as the star player on Spokeo’s own pick-up basketball team.
- Ray Chen
CEO & Co-Founder
CEO and Co-founder, Spokeo
Ray is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company in addition to managing the leadership team on all aspects of the company.
Prior to his founding of Spokeo, Ray gained experience at other well-known technology companies including Intel, Hitachi and AMD. He obtained both his bachelor's and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
Ray grew up in the Pasadena area and is glad to be back. In his free time, you will find him at Old Town Pasadena, especially at The Blind Donkey. He also enjoys swimming and thought he was a big board game geek before meeting much geekier people at Spokeo!
- Eric Liang
Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder
Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder, Spokeo
Eric developed the distributed backend architecture and other core technologies that Spokeo uses. Currently, he oversees the backend engineering and system administration teams.
Prior to Spokeo, Eric was a software engineer in the space technology division at Northrop Grumman. He is originally from Fullerton, California and obtained both his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Stanford University.
Eric resides in Arcadia with his wife, Angela and son and they hope to one day do their own Amazing Race around the world to fulfill their passion for traveling and enjoying food.
- Yev Goldenberg
Chief Revenue Officer & VP of Business Development
Chief Revenue Officer & VP of Business Development, Spokeo
Yev focuses on marketing, operations and business development for the company.
Prior to joining Spokeo, Yev was the Director of Business Development at SMS GupShup (Webaroo) a global mobile application company headquartered in Mumbai, India. Before that he was an senior associate with Globespan Capital Partners, a mid stage technology Venture Capital firm with $2 billion under management based in Palo Alto, CA, and a consultant with McKinsey & Company focused on technology and financial services.
He obtained both a B.S. and an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Yev was born in Kiev, Ukraine and as a child he and his family moved to California. He currently resides in San Mateo. When he’s not in the office Yev is most often traveling to a new destination. To help fill up his passport with stamps he once visited all seven continents in a single year. When he isn’t on a plane, you will find him playing basketball or rooting on the Stanford Cardinal football team.
- Nathalie Ripling
Head of Human Capital
Head of Human Capital, Spokeo
In her role, Nathalie is responsible for all aspects of Human Capital, including recruiting, on-boarding, performance management, learning and development, compensation strategy, cultivating its culture and growing a team she likens to "team happy." Having started as the head of Customer Service, Nathalie is very familiar with what it takes to anticipate the needs of others. Prior to Spokeo, she worked a number of startups, including a lead generation company named Swift Internet, building successful programs that focused on service team development.
Nathalie is an alumni of National University of Singapore.
Nathalie lives in Santa Clarita with her husband and is a proud mom to a spirited 2-year old. Her passions include makeup artistry and figure skating, but don't assume she's dainty because she also is a die hard hockey fan. Go Kings!
- Angela Saverice-Rohan
General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer
General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer, Spokeo
As the General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer for Spokeo, Angela manages the company's legal department and is responsible for a wide-range of legal support, including privacy compliance, government relations, employment matters, corporate governance, commercial contracts, management of litigation and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the Spokeo team, Angela gained significant experience as counsel to regulated industries, where she focused primarily on technology, privacy and security. Most recently, she served as Associate General Counsel for WellPoint, Inc. where she was responsible for domestic and international privacy and security compliance and served as a key advisor to WellPoint’s Technology Division. She has also served as corporate counsel for the global e-commerce company, Digital River, Inc. and Vice President/Corporate Counsel for the Technology and Operations business group at U.S. Bancorp. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Minnesota in 1996 and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 2002. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
She resides in Pasadena with her husband and their two children. When she's not busy being our lawyer, she's likely enjoying a hot yoga class or planning her family's next great travel adventure. She also enjoys challenging the traditional perception of a lawyer's persona; you may find her wearing her red cowboy boots in a meeting or inviting you to a bourbon tasting in her office.
- Kristen Morquecho
VP and Head of Communications
Vice President of Communications, Spokeo
Kristen oversees the corporate communications strategy for Spokeo, including the execution of all external and internal communications, as well as media and community relations activities for the various Spokeo products and divisions.
Kristen was most recently responsible for the communications strategy behind Yahoo!’s media network including new video programming, strategic brand partnerships, content partners as well as Yahoo!’s ad platform and US product launches. During her seven-year tenure there, she also led communications efforts for Yahoo! Search. Prior to her post at Yahoo!, she developed and executed all public relations campaigns and programs surrounding product launches as head of communications for Citysearch and Evite. She also spent six years at the Los Angeles-based public relations agency, MPRM.
Kristen graduated with a degree in communication studies from Loyola Marymount University.
Kristen resides in Woodland Hills with her husband and son. The LA native spends most of her free time stuck in traffic (cursing the transplants) but enjoys walking as much as possible, thanks to her new hyper addictive Fitbit.
