Spokeo HR Edition FAQ
1. How does Spokeo HR differ from regular Spokeo?
Spokeo HR is custom-made for recruiters and hiring managers. Its primary goal is to "find people" as opposed to track friends’ content. This distinct design objective sets the HR edition in the following ways:
a. More Powerful Search
As implied by its Google-like interface, Spokeo HR is all about search. This search incorporates user-name search with the regular email search by intelligently guessing possible identities from known matches. It also supports more niche networks to provide more comprehensive results.
b. Faster Search
All Spokeo searches are real-time, so they are very computational intensive. Even with all the servers we got, the system can sometimes clog up when too many people are using it simultaneously. To ensure a consistent performance for professional users, Spokeo HR queries enjoy the highest priority in all our task queues.
c. ATS Integration
Spokeo HR is designed to blend into HR professionals’ everyday workflow. It can be easily plugged into customizable ATS systems like Taleo Business Edition. Now, doing a social background check literally takes one click.
2. How to set up Spokeo HR in my Taleo ATS?
Setting up Spokeo HR in Taleo takes only a minute! Here are the detailed instructions: (Don’t be intimidated by the number of the steps. We just want to explain all the steps as detailed as possible.)
1. Login your Taleo account. Click on the "Administration" tab. Then click on "Customize" sub-menu.
2. Under the "Customize Fields" box, click on "Candidate Fields". Then at the bottom of the page, under the "Candidate Custom Fields" box, click on "New Field" link.
3. In the "Add Custom Field" wizard, select "Web Link" as the Data type. Then press "Next".
4. Enter "Spokeo Search" as the Display label. Then copy and paste the following link "http://www.spokeo.com/hr/search/<<CANDIDATE_EMAIL>> " in the big box under "Web Integration Link Template". Press "Create".
5. Check ONLY the "View Candidate" option in the Page Layouts box. Then press "Add".
6. Now we want to organize the layout. Click on "Customize" sub-menu on the top. Then click on "Page Layouts" under the second box "Customize Pages".
7. Go to the second box "Candidate Page Layouts", then click on "Edit" for "View Candidate".
8. By default, you should see "Spokeo Search" field at the very end of "Candidate Information" section. Drag it with your mouse to place it above the "Google Search" field under the "Web Links" section.
9. Click "Save", and you are almost done! Now you should be able to see a Spokeo search link in every candidate’s profile in TBE.
Now you should repeat the same Step 2 - 9 for contact fields if you want Spokeo functionality for your contacts.

6. Go to the fourth box from the bottom Contact Page Layouts", then click on "Edit" for "View Contact".
7. By default, you should see "Spokeo Search" field at the very end of "Contact Information" section. Drag it with your mouse to place it above the "Google Search" field under the "Web Links" section.
8. Click "Save", and you are almost done! Now you should be able to see a Spokeo search link in every contact’s profile in TBE.
3. What if my ATS cannot be easily integrated with Spokeo?
Please contact us and tell us which ATS you are using. We will contact your ATS vendor and work with them to further streamline your work flow.
