I've been called by DCU's fraud prevention before. I was asked the usual q multiple choice questions. Then was asked if a $288 charge today.was legitimate. I did not recognize the amount, so pressed 1. A person came on & said they would block the account until the charge was resolved & wanted to ask more ID questions. At that point I became concerned & hung up.
CALLED DCU. Very helpful customer service (not fraud prevention) representative found the blocked charge (which was legitimate after all-my bad). Gave me a phone number to call to release the block. Number was 877-703-5984!
Called & automated service released the block.
