Caller called my wife's work number and claimed he was with "the state" and asked for me. (NC number and we live in TX??) When she asked why, he said that he was calling about our septic tank and gave our home address as reference. My wife said "we don't have a septic tank". He said, "I don't know how you got on our list" and hung up. This was obviously a scam but it's highly suspicious that he called my wife's work number that would not be listed anywhere online.Comment
I am not sure if he was trying to sell something or not. He asked to speak to the homeowner even after my husband ID himself. He asked questions about our septic tank system and when we told him we had no problems with it he said " I didnt ask if you had problems, you need to listen to what I am saying" He was very rude and failed to give his name or reason for calling.
