Preview for the January 23, 2014 episode of TNA Impact: Exodus, Chapter 2
Cageside Seats - about 4 years
Is tonight Sting's last hurrah in the company he's been with for nearly as long as WCW? Will we see The American Wolves wrestle? How bad will the Velvet Sky in a Cage match be? Forgetting stealing it, can Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode save the show? Previously on Impact Wrestling The not-a-pay-per-view (PPV)-but-still-special-because-it's-live-and-not-in-Orlando edition of Genesis had wrestling fans buzzing a bit...so they opened the show with fifteen minutes of Magnus and Dixie Carter talking. The champ was okay, and might be just fine with a supported cast that had more Rockstar Spud and less Dixie. But that's not what he's got, and what we got out of this was an unbilled six-on-six inter-gender tag team match. Which was good because Samoa Joe got to kill a bunch of people. Then, X-Division champ Austin Aries and Chris Sabin had a contest to see who could say the most sexist and/or degrading thing about Velvet Sky to her face. I think Aries won, but whoever boo...

TNA Impact results and live blog for Aug. 23: Hulk Hogan returns!
Cageside Seats - over 5 years
TNA Impact comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Thurs., Aug. 16, 2012) from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida, for yet another live show, and yet another edition of Open Fight Night. And Gut Check. But most importantly, the return of Hulk Hogan. That's right, folks, the Hulkster is back and he's ready to go "old school" with Sting in a big confrontation with Aces and Eights, who ran Hogan off the show a couple weeks ago to get back surgery. Because it's Open Fight Night, Sting challenged the mysterious group to a match. Let's see if it goes down. Plus, we'll get a big update on the Bound for Glory Series now that The Pope, D'Angelo Dinero, is out with an injury. That's not to mention there should be plenty of matches set for the show, what with it being Open Fight Night and all. All that and more. Remember, the show starts 8 p.m. ET on Spike TV, so be sure to get here nice and early to join in with all your favorite Cageside ...

Is Velvet Sky returning to TNA?
Cageside Seats - over 5 years
The eye-candy desiring teenage male in me sure hopes so. According to PWInsider, TNA President Dixie Carter was upset to learn the former Knockouts Champion wasn't resigned and has been in contact with Sky to try and figure out what it would take to bring her back to the TNA fold. While it was reported at the time TNA was trying to avoid losing her in the first place, she took to Twitter almost two weeks ago to confirm her departure from the company she had been with since 2007. The half-decade tenure is part of the reason Carter wants her back. She properly debuted fro TNA in late 2007 with Angelina Love, another recent Knockouts departure, as The Beautiful People, a group of vain but tough female wrestlers whose members also included Madison Rayne and Lacey Von Erich at different times. Over the course of five years, Sky has become one of the female faces for the Orlando-based company and recently starred in country music duo Montgomery Gentry's video for the sing...

TNA Impact! Wrestling: Austin Aries Becoming the Future Main Event Star
Bleacher Report - over 5 years
The June 21 edition of "Open Fight Night" on TNA Impact! Wrestling began with a video recap of last week's episode. Hulk Hogan opens the show by coming to the ring. Hogan first addressed what happened to Sting last week. As Hogan is speaking, the crowd begins to chant his name. Hogan calls out Austin Aries for his answer on whether he will go for the glory or go broke. Aries, wearing his X Division title, comes forward and tells Hogan he put a great opportunity out there for him. Aries discusses the importance of the X Division title and came up with an idea on how to go about this. Aries says he is willing to relinquish the X Division title to face TNA Champion Bobby Roode if Hogan allows the next X Division title holder to get a shot at the World Title. Hogan accepts his proposal, but Roode suddenly hits the ring in frustration.  Roode tells Hogan he should be sitting in his office and that Aries' X Division title means nothing. He says Aries made a vital mistake. Aries says sinc...

TNA Slammiversary live notes from Arlington, Texas
Cageside Seats - over 5 years
Your favorite Cagesider -- that's me, you jerks -- was live in attendance for TNA's big 10th anniversary pay-per-view extravaganza last night (Sun., June 10), the Slammiversary event in Arlington, Texas. Being from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I couldn't pass up the chance to see some large scale pro rasslin' going on in my backyard so tickets were purchased and a couple of friends and I drove down to UT Arlington campus to enjoy the show. Basically, I saw and witnessed things you normal pay-per-view buying schlubs didn't get to experience. I met Fat Jay Lethal for one and also had the most annoying chanter sitting behind me. But before I get ahead of myself, let's start from the beginning... Right after the jump! I roll up to my The Wrestling Aficionado -- we're coming back, I promise -- co-host Rodie Jon's house around 5:45pm CT and immediately ask where the whiskey is. Sergio gonna Sergio. So I take a shot of Jack and we head on our way. We arrive to the ...

TNA Impact Wrestling Results (4/19)
Wrestling News Source - almost 6 years
Report by Stuart Carapola & PWinsider.com Bobby Roode comes out to start the show and address the fans. He says that he's still the World Champion and it feels so good, because he came out here several weeks ago saying he was going to beat James Storm in front of his friends, family, and friends in his own backyard of Nashville, and he made good on his promise. He gives James Storm credit because he promised that he was going to drill him with the Last Call, and he sure did hit him with it, but it caused the destruction of his dreams and his destiny because he still stands before us as the World Heavyweight Champion. He has defeated each and every hero thrown in his path: James Storm, AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, and Sting, and as far as the champ is concerned, there's no heroes left for him to beat. Ken Anderson's music hits and here he comes! He says he'll beat Roode, take his title, and he won't need a beer bottle to do it. Roode says that while he's been sitting home in Green Bay for...

TNA Impact Wrestling **SPOILERS** for 4/19
Wrestling News Source - almost 6 years
Below are the spoilers for the 4/19 edition of TNA Impact Wrestling: Credit: Travis Beaven & PWTorch.com I’m here in Orlando for Tuesday’s Impact taping. Advertised (and I mean this somewhat loosely) are RVD, Jeff Hardy, and Hulk Hogan. For those of you who have never attended, you basically get to hang out in a line under a roller coaster. Every now and then, something falls out of the pocket of one of the riders and hits a hapless taping attendee in the head. Hardcore! Some context: I’m part of the company that built PWTorch’s very fine mobile app (new version coming!). I’m a wrestling fan, but at this point a very passive viewer. The advent of DVR has eliminated the need for many a Teddy Long segment, as I’m positive many of you can appreciate. I appreciate good workrate or I appreciate good entertainment; generally I get one or the other, and more recently neither. Also, in the interest of full disclosure: I’ve never sat through a full TNA show before. Not because I’m a hater o...

Spoilers for April 12, 2012 edition of TNA Impact, the go home show for Lockdown
Cageside Seats - almost 6 years
We're less than one week away from Lockdown! TNA taped the go home episode for their pay-per-view (PPV) last week but with all the hubbub in Florida being about WWE and WrestleMania 28, the spoilers -- courtesy of sPyWareInsider -- weren't leaked until recently. So what can you expect this Thursday from the stars of Impact, Cagesiders? Well, an old hardcore favorite makes his return and gets placed smack dab in the middle of the Bischoff family feud for one. Without saying precisely who it was, I can say he loves air-brushed spandex. Bully Ray goes one on one with AJ Styles and Austin Aries tangles with Christopher Daniels in what I hear was an excellent match. And of course, it wouldn't be a go home show without some kind of confrontation between the wrestlers in the main event. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode and his Lockdown challenger James Storm meet face to face before Sunday's (April 15) show. Full spoilers after the jump! Mr. Anderson and ...

TNA Impact Wrestling Results (4/5)
Wrestling News Source - almost 6 years
Report by Stuart Carapola & PWinsider.com We start off with a look back at last week when Hulk Hogan accepted the job as the new GM of Impact Wrestling, and we go to the Impact Zone where Dixie Cartner has called all the wrestlers out to the ring for a meeting as she again introduces our new GM. Hogan reiterates how he would have never taken the job back if it weren't for Sting watching his back and he thanks Dixie Carter for another chance, and he says that he met with Creative and they have a bunch of new segments that are going to be coming, but right now he has some Lockdown business to take care of. Hogan makes Matt Morgan vs Crimson for Lockdown, then says he's had a hard time figuring out who the #1 contender to Gail Kim ought to be, so tonight, we're going to have a Knockouts Challenge to determine who challenges Gail at Lockdown. There's one other thing he needs to handle right now, and he wants Eric Bischoff to come out right now. Ric Flair said Bischoff's not here and he...

Gail Kim & Madison Rayne Successfully Defend TNA K.O. Tag Titles (Videos Included)
Wrestling News Source - about 6 years
For any of who you didn't watch last night's episode of TNA Impact Wrestling on Spike TV and haven't read the results online, the team of <a class="fplink fp-822715" href="/gail+kim">Gail Kim</a> &amp; <a class="fplink fp-578904" href="/madison+rayne">Madison Rayne</a> successfully defended the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles against the team of Hardcore Country Mickie James &amp; Traci Brooks. Before the match a video was shown of Kim &amp; Rayne assaulting Traci Brooks earlier in the day at a pool. (On a personal note: This was a decent women's tag team match, and was certainly longer, more athletic, and more exciting than the short matches that the WWE Divas have been putting on lately.)
