Arnold Schwarzenegger Isn't Bothered By Donald Trump's Twitter Hate
Huffington Post - 11 months
Arnold Schwarzenegger has found himself on the wrong side of Donald Trump’s Twitter rants more than once, but “The Terminator” star isn’t fazed.  “Look, as far as I’m concerned, it didn’t bother me at all,” the actor recently told “Extra’s” Mario Lopez. “The only thing that bothers me is to say, doesn’t he have anything more important to do? But other than that, I don’t take it personal; it gives me an opportunity to fire back.” He continued, saying he and the president “have been having a good time” with their Twitter spats.  “He has been talking about my ratings, then I can talk about his ratings — which is the lowest of every president in modern history,” he said. “It gives me a chance when he talks about the environment, I can fire back and say, ‘Are you really sure about this? Do you want to go and bring coal mines back to the coal industry? This industry’s dying. Are you gonna bring back pagers … or buggies and horses …?’ It’s just crazy.” Schwarzenegge...

James Corden, Jordan Peele And Nick Kroll Make The Most 'Honest' Boy Band
Huffington Post - 12 months
The late ‘90s and early ‘00s were a rich time for boy bands ― *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees ― who sang lyrics filled with sexual innuendos our pre-pubescent ears just didn’t quite understand. But it seems there was at least one “band” that tried to keep it real.  Enter Thr33way, the “first-ever honest boy band,” formed by James Corden, Nick Kroll and Jordan Peele. In a clip from “The Late Late Show,” the three guys opened up about their group’s mission.  “We took existing boy band songs, cut through all the innuendo, and just got to the heart of what those songs are really about: hardcore sex,” Kroll explained.  The “band” released songs like “I Want a Three-Way,” set to the tune of BSB’s “I Want It That Way,” and “Quit Playin’ Games with My Penis,” set to “Quit Playin’ Games with My Heart.” Then there were hits like “End of the Choad,” “Bye Bye Bi-Sexual,” “The Butt Stuff,” and of course, “MMMBoobs.” (You can probably guess how that one went.) Mario Lopez Ends Those 'Live With Kelly' Co-Hosting Rumors
Huffington Post - over 1 year
Ever since Michael Strahan’s controversial exit from “Live,” rumors have been flying about who is going to replace him. One of the subjects of those whispers is Bayside graduate Mario Lopez. Lopez has been a guest co-host on the show before, and was cheeky when Ellen DeGeneres asked him about the possibility of joining Kelly Ripa back in April. But unfortunately, A.C. Slater is officially tapping out. Lopez confirmed to The Huffington Post that the rumors are now just rumors. “No, I mean those were flattering and very sweet, but I’m here in LA, and I’ve already got a couple jobs and my family here. But she’s awesome. I’d love to go back and hang with her anytime,” said Lopez. The jobs he’s referring to, hosting “Extra” and a radio show, aren’t enough to keep him away from another new project, however. Lopez is partnering with Box Tops for Education in honor of the program’s 20th birthday. You can see the actor starring as a gym teacher in Box Tops’ new “Don’t Be Absent f...

How The New 'Hamilton' Cast Made A True Believer Out Of A Skeptic
Huffington Post - over 1 year
You can be highbrow. You can be lowbrow. But can you ever just be brow? Welcome to Middlebrow, a weekly examination of pop culture. Sign up to receive it in your inbox weekly.   “Hamilton” has won almost too many awards, too much acclaim, too many rapturous public testaments to its life-changing power, not to entice pushback. So, of course, it has: Historians have substantively criticized various aspects of the musical, inspired by Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton. One article argued that the show doesn’t even pass the Bechdel test, a conclusion which requires a highly unforgiving interpretation of the “The Schuyler Sisters,” in which Angelica and Eliza Schuyler first appear and take in the revolutionary atmosphere in the streets of New York. Then there are the more personal reactions, all the more insistent because everyone else loves the show. Musician Laurie Anderson told The Atlantic that she had to leave after Act I: “It’s history lite, and musical li...
