New Canaan Man Reports Attempted Burglary at Parents' Home

A 54-year-old resident called police on April 3 after checking on his parents' Pocono Trail home while they were away on vacation. Sgt. Vince DeMaio said that the complainant found that one of the viewing panels next the front door of the home had been kicked in, but nothing was found compromised or stolen once the home was entered. Police are still investigating the attempted burglary.
Patrol units responded to a dispute on April 3 at the corner of Park and Elm Streets between a Bergenfield, N.J. resident and her boyfriend.
According to DeMaio, 22-year-old Kayla Ramirez arrived at her boyfriend's place of employment and tried to prevent him from leaving by blocking his vehicle with hers. A third party reported the incident to the police and when officers arrived, the two were founding sitting inside of a car arguing, according to DeMaio.
Ramirez was charged with second-degree breach of peace. She was released on a PTA and appeared in court on April 5....
