Tell us about your job. What do you do?<\/h4>\n

Building products that people need and love is very important to us. That happens when engineering teams are focused on delivery and care about the end user experience. My duty is to enable that for our teams by providing employee development, team building, participating in architectural decisions and providing process guidance.\u00a0The energy and passion for what we are building at Spokeo is amazing and contagious. It is a joy to come to work and be a part of that culture.<\/p>\n

Life before Spokeo:<\/h4>\n

Before Spokeo I worked in various industries including media and health care. At MySpace, I led and managed the media services engineering team. We were responsible for the media uploads, apis and media services. At Connecture, I managed engineering teams that provided solutions to various clients like Aetna, Medicare, Cigna etc.<\/p>\n

Most interesting Spokeo Project:<\/h4>\n

The fun thing about working at Spokeo is that, there are several interesting projects being worked on. If I have to pick a favorite, it will be the connections project where all your friend\u2019s social data and updates is available in one place. I personally see myself using this a lot when it is deployed.<\/p>\n

Favorite Spokeo event ever:<\/h4>\n

The Hackathon! Various teams of spokeo employees came together to innovate new ideas and present them in 24 hours. We had some very interesting prototypes come out of the hackathon, that are slated for our product pipeline. I am confident our users will love them, as much as we did.<\/p>\n

Words of advice:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • – Never stop learning. There are always new technologies and skills out there and it is good to keep yourself updated. Don\u2019t see it as a weakness to not know something but as an opportunity to learn.<\/li>\n
  • – Invest some time in your teammate\u2019s success, and they will do the same in return. This is how great teams are built.<\/li>\n
  • – Be highly dependable. These are the people that have a high level of trust and respect from their peers, because they are consistently accurate with their work and always deliver.<\/li>\n
  • – Most importantly, have fun with what you are doing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
