Prior to Appriss, he served as vice president and general counsel at Cortera. Early in his career, Matthes assumed a key in-house legal role at Seisint, a venture-backed data provider that was acquired by LexisNexis; he continued on with LexisNexis following the acquisition as senior counsel for LexisNexis Risk Management.
