What do you do?\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I work on the middleware team, which is responsible for a lot of our internal tools and API&#8217;s.\u00a0 I am currently working with our\u00a0analytics team, building out a robust BI (Business Intelligence) platform, which will allow us to make informed decisions about the overall revenue and costs for the company.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Life before Spokeo<\/strong>:\u00a0I worked at an ad agency in Rancho Cucamonga building launch sites for new toys, video games and other products.\u00a0 It was a small development team (3 people) and we juggled many quick turn around projects.\u00a0 The quick and diverse project forced us to \u00a0learn a lot and optimize our tools and workflows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Most interesting Spokeo Project<\/strong>: Building out our Business Intelligence platform has taught me a lot about the inner workings of a company.\u00a0 Additionally, having to handle large amounts of data and figure out how it all fits together is both challenging and rewarding.\u00a0 The new technologies (Redshift, ETL processing, AWS SQS, etc) have opened my mind to new techniques I can use to solve future problems. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Favorite Spokeo event ever<\/strong>:\u00a0Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spokeo.com\/compass\/spokeo-turns-9-with-a-family-of-thrones-party\">Game of Thrones themed Anniversary Party<\/a>.\u00a0 Getting people to dress up and hang\u00a0out in a castle was a lot of fun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.spokeo.com\/compass\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/MikeGOT.jpeg?ssl=1\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11527 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.spokeo.com\/compass\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/MikeGOT.jpeg?resize=432%2C288&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"MikeGOT\" width=\"432\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Words of advice<\/strong>:\u00a0Always look for challenge.
