Hope you enjoy getting to know our tech minds!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>First name:<\/strong> Xilong<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Title<\/strong>: Senior Software Developer (joined Spokeo as &#8220;Software Developer&#8221;)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell us about your job. What do you do?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I focus on our backend system which\u00a0powers Spokeo as a people search engine. I feel very proud to have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that cover\u00a0the entire data processing workflow and transforming data from its raw state all the way to the profile page. \u00a0We&#8217;ve conquered several challenges as a team\u00a0<span class=\"m_-3777313846608807360gmail-s1\">including things like data<\/span><span class=\"m_-3777313846608807360gmail-s1\">\u00a0processing\/access, and\u00a0we&#8217;ve\u00a0even built our own processing framework! Currently, I\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"m_-3777313846608807360gmail-s1\">am mainly focusing on infrastructure automation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Life before Spokeo<\/strong>:\u00a0I was a graduate student at\u00a0USC finishing\u00a0my Master&#8217;s degree in Computer Science.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Most interesting Spokeo Project:\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"m_-3777313846608807360gmail-s1\">It is so hard to pick one, given so many challenging projects we&#8217;ve completed<\/span><span class=\"m_-3777313846608807360gmail-s1\">, but if I have to, I would\u00a0vote for our engineering marvel:\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"m_-3777313846608807360gmail-s1\">data merging. Not only because of the difficult nature of linking similar records, but<\/span><span class=\"m_-3777313846608807360gmail-s1\">\u00a0also because\u00a0we ran them in massive, massive scale.
