Broadcasting insecurity is a great way to alienate yourself from your other friends too. No one wants to walk into a bear-pit of depression and anxiety, so don\u2019t dig that hole.<\/p>\n
Are you texting your ex? Stop it. Are you looking at their Instagram pictures? Quit. Are you stalking their friends online? Just don\u2019t. You need time apart. Block them if you have to, delete their number as the nuclear option but just stop talking to your ex.<\/em><\/p>\n If you cut them off, they\u2019re going to be confused. They\u2019ll wonder why you aren\u2019t <\/em>trying to get them back right away. Now you\u2019re starting to build the fire of jealousy. Next step is to throw gasoline on the flames.<\/p>\n Make a list of all the things that went wrong with you during the relationship. Did you get a little fat? Could you use a new look? Did your ex keep you from spending money – or spending way too much?<\/p>\n The total opposite of broadcasting your pain, broadcast new successes. They have to be new – don\u2019t start pining for the good old days. This builds an air of success, it tells your ex that they were holding you back. Now you\u2019ve turned the tables on them and they\u2019re going to want to know what\u2019s making your a new, better person.<\/p>\n If you do all of the above but end up with someone that\u2019s a photocopy of your ex, they might end up jealous or they might just laugh at you. Date someone totally different and watch them get jealous fast.<\/p>\n They\u2019ll start comparing themselves to your new date, but they won\u2019t be able to figure it out. Because there’s nothing to figure out! You\u2019re into someone different, with a different look, a different idea for fun, a different outlook on life. You know what else? It\u2019s fun. You might learn something about yourself, while making your ex jealous.<\/p>\n Will this work? It might, but then again it might not.
