This was witnessed most recently in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/pictures\/khloe-kardashian-and-tristan-thompson-cheating-scandal-everything-we-know-so-far\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cheating scandal involving NBA star Tristan Thompson and his pregnant girlfriend Khloe Kardashian<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in which the Cleveland Cav was <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/article-5603067\/Tristan-Thompson-caught-cheating-Khloe-Kardashian-NBA-star-arrives-hotel-brunette.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">caught by several pesky paparazzi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> kissing and leaving hotel rooms with several women who were<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">demonstrably <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pregnant girlfriend Khloe Kardashian. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Khloe has since given birth to a girl, named, somewhat ironically, True, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.harpersbazaar.com\/celebrity\/latest\/a20926805\/khloe-kardashian-responds-tristan-thompson-drama\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has also broken her silence and responded to critics in the media<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do Men Really Cheat More?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most studies suggest that the answer is indeed yes. According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ifstudies.org\/blog\/who-cheats-more-the-demographics-of-cheating-in-america\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Institute for Family Studies<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, about 20% of married men have admitted to cheating at least once. Only 13% of married women have admitted the same.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The same studies suggest that numbers fluctuate with age: for example, men and women ages 18-39 are equally likely to cheat. However, older men cheat far more often than women after 40. On the whole, men do hold the dubious distinction of being more unfaithful.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Do Men Cheat?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Men cheat for a variety of reasons. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/us\/blog\/love-and-sex-in-the-digital-age\/201704\/13-reasons-why-men-cheat\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Robert Weiss of Psychology Today<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, there are at least thirteen factors, including:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emotional immaturity<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unrealistic expectations (of how partner should treat him or look)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selfishness<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But the decision to cheat is just that: a decision, a choice. Too often in the wake of infidelity, the victim feels that they were somehow to blame for their partner\u2019s choice. Yet, this is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveabout.com\/reasons-you-arent-to-blame-for-their-affair-1103342\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">entirely not the case<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Signs That He&#8217;s Cheating<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re asking yourself \u201cIs he cheating?\u201d, then there&#8217;s probably a reason. It\u2019s always good to trust your instincts. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We recently wrote about some of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spokeo.com\/compass\/get-away-cheating\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">classic \u201ctells\u201d that give <\/span><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spokeo.com\/compass\/get-away-cheating\/\">away<\/a>&nbsp;a cheating partner<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, some of which are:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being distant<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spending longer hours at work or \u201cout with friends\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Withholding physical intimacy<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Changing their appearance<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spending more time on their phone texting<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019ve noticed at least one of these behaviors, then you may be wondering what to do next.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Empower Yourself<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since it\u2019s safe to say that your boyfriend or husband is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a celebrity, he won\u2019t be caught by TMZ. This leaves it all in your hands. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take control and do a little research. If they\u2019ve been spending a lot of time smirking at their phone screens, or you\u2019ve noticed strange numbers on a shared phone plan, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spokeo.com\/build\/whos-texting-your-spouse\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">search unknown phone numbers to get name, location and more<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If that doesn\u2019t turn up anything, you can also <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spokeo.com\/is-he-cheating\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">search their email address<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> using a people search engine to see any publicly available social media profiles (including accounts on dating sites) associated with that email address. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.trustify.info\/blog\/infidelity-statistics-2017\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At least 10% of affairs begin online<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Perhaps they\u2019re chatting up someone on a dating site, or have a Facebook profile they don\u2019t want you to know about.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A New Beginning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discovering the truth can be painful, but for most women it\u2019s the first necessary step to a happier, healthier life.
