Fortunately, all of the major social media sites have catfishing policies to protect you in the event that a hacker has fraudulently taken control of your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how to resolve the problem if it happens on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Facebook<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Facebook has one of the easiest catfish reporting procedures. Reporting usually involves going to the fraudulent person\u2019s Twitter page and clicking the overflow icon, which looks like three vertical dots.
