Unfortunately, research fails to show that leapers age more slowly than everyone else.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure><figure><figure><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/l4GP7prC7xniL8sax6\" width=\"480\" height=\"462\" frameborder=\"0\" class=\"giphy-embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><p><\/p><\/center><\/figure><\/figure><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>So, exactly what does it mean to be a leaper? Are they just like the rest of us? Here, we leverage insights from Spokeo\u2019s access to more than 14 billion records to get to the bottom of it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Famous Birthdays<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are one of the lucky people with a February 29th birthday, you\u2019re in good company. Who are some famous leapers? Although there\u2019s only a one in 1,461 chance that a baby will be born on leap year day, an even smaller chance exists they will turn out to be famous. But there are a few. Famous February 29 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ranker.com\/list\/celebrity-leap-year-birthdays\/celebrity-lists\">birthdays<\/a> include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tony Robbins, self-help author and motivational speaker<\/li><li>Ja Rule, American rapper<\/li><li>Dinah Shore (1916\u20131994), American singer and actress<\/li><li>Tony Sabato, Jr., Italian-American model and actor<\/li><li>Pedro Zamora (1972\u20131994), Cuban-American AIDS educator and television personality<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The most famous leaper of all doesn\u2019t make the list because some say he\u2019s not even a real person. This animated character \u2014 Superman \u2014 was purchased by DC Comics on leap year day in 1938, which would technically be his birthdate to be February 29th. So, if you\u2019re looking for a real person born on leap year day, or any other day for that matter, how do you find them?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interesting Leap Year Facts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lots of myths and folklore surround leapers. But when you analyze the actual data, they\u2019re just as regular as the rest of us.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, those with leap year birthdays in the Spokeo database exhibit the following characteristics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Leapers are not a rare occurrence. <\/strong>As mentioned, although a baby only has a 1 in 1,461 chance of being a leaper, there is a chance. But it\u2019s no smaller than the chance of being born on any other day.<\/li><li><strong>Leapers average 4.5 addresses in their lifetime. <\/strong>This figure aligns with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/topics\/population\/migration\/guidance\/calculating-migration-expectancy.html\">U.S. Census<\/a> data. According to census figures, the average American moves more than nine times after age 18. But once he or she reaches age 45, that number diminishes to an average of less than three.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Leapers average two full names. <\/strong>Although the numbers are declining, most women continue to change their last names when they marry.
