Caller Indicated they are the Investigation Bureau of the Internal Revenue Service. Called the # given. Ask for the name and location of the call. Did not speak English very well and would not give me any information requested.

It was a Robo Message stating that I need to call back case worker Nicki Johnson with the IRS regarding someone reporting me for fraud. I called back and a gentleman with an accent asked me for my phone number so that he could look up my account. I told him the IRS has a 800 number, and not the 415 area code. He then hung up on me.

Received call that sounded threatening "Do not disregard" as IRS officer Nikki Johnson, husband noted poor quality of recording and likely scam, FYI, the local IRS office of that area code's phone is 415-553-8990, prior knowledge with CPA of numerous small business accounts shows IRS would typically contact by mail and typically by one or two offices you would see on your return for filing addresses, not prerecorded phone call, our taxes are up to date and double-checked for errors by professional before submitting each year, it seems from internet search there is/was a Nicki Johnson who worked out of a different region for IRS, I hope she finds them and sues them for identity theft/libel, this call was a scam, do not give them any money
