This number sent several texts and each one sounded like a different reason for reaching out. Definitely a scam.

I received a very chilling and startling text from this number, threatening to kill me and my family if I dont send them money. There were very disturbing pictures that were attached to the text. They searched my information and sent a list of family members names and my address. I also received a follow up text (after blocking the first number) from 281 967-2020. Again the text were of killing me and my family and claiming to have ties with a dangerous cartel. They said that my problems would go away once I paid them some money. I have the texts on my phone and iPad. I did nothing illegal or had any prior affairs with any of this people. Their claim is that I called their escort service and never showed up and they have to pay the girls and will therefore kill my family and myself. I admit that I did text a service out of curiosity but never heard back and never tried to make any appointment or anything, I just got curious to see what they charge for that service. I saw an ad on the internet. I learned my lesson, a simple phone call can be a deadly thing if this is real. What can I do about this.

Yes this number may be being used as a ghost number to extort me.
