Say they are Microsoft and they need to get into the computer and fix it.
Said they were in Philadelphia but used my home address as their address and the manager got on the phone and had the same name as my husband.
Incoming call wanting to fix issue with computer. Very hard to understand the person, 2 of them. Could not get name of company, just the phone number. Incoming number was 478-616-0716.
I have been receiving a call not less than once a month for over a year. Indian accent identifying himself as being with "Windows". He tells me I am having a problem with my computer but not to worry as they can fix it. I recognize it is a scam and tell him so repeatedly. He isn't discouraged and continues to try to insure me he is legitimate. I request to be put on their do not call list but it hasn't deterred them. I'd sure like to know what agency to call to have this fraudulent company stopped. They continue to scam innocent people with ease.
I was called today by a person claiming to be Microsoft support. After a long conversation they tried to get me to but the qx software. I believe this was a hacking attempt on my computer. Thet spoke with very heavy foreign accents and never really were able to prove they were Microsoft. In the end they tried to sell this qx software.
