Just had this happen 2 times today. They claimed I didn't pay back a pay day loan and that I was being arrested in morning. Lol. 2 guys with heavy accents that said they are from some criminal bureau of investigation. Using the name chief officer so and so. What is scary is they told me the name of bank and the account #. Needless to say I'm heading to bank to close account. Crazy scam!

they called and said they were from my local police dept and gave a fake police officer name and badge number. then told me there was a complatint against me from Roger Smith and to call this number or I would be arrested! HA - they wanted me to confirm my mailing address, which I would not do.

Wanted to let people know that this is a scam. 1st step they call saying you had a loan out from Southern USA or Payday Cash advance. 2nd move they asked about you and how you have committed or broken some laws. 3rd they transfer you someone who claims that your going to jail if you do not pay restitution. It's all bogus and do not follow it. They have your social, the bank your at, and work it is still a fraud do not I repeat to not confirm and hang up.

Bogus phone calls claiming to be federal agents charging you with wire, bank, and mail fraud. Something associated with a payday loan you did not pay on time. All a bunch of crap because no loans were taken out and/or not repaid.
