they callled me claimed to be from the IRS , from my understanding the IRS will send you a notice first , I told them to contact me in writing .

Caller ID indicates Performant supposedly a debt collector for IRS but could be a spoofed scam call as well, since the number DOES NOT MATCH the number posted at IRS. SCAMMERS pretend to be anything they can think of these days.
