Robo call that asked me to confirm my identity. Spoofs CitiBank Costco for phishing.

COSTCO Visa? Why would they call over and over and over? So as a former debt collector I went "up the tree" so I called 877-689-8871 877-689-8872 877-689-8873 Each one was a different "customer service" "call center". It's a scam. Don't mess with any of it. If Costco Visa wants to talk, call them back at their correct #.

It was citibank costco card. I do not have any credit cards. It was a robo call. The name it used for the message was a name of a friend from Calif. The message left said to connect to there operator to make a payment. I did call Citi bank and there operator looked up the phone number they called from 877-689-8870 was not one of there numbers used. The operator top me it was a phishing call and to block the number.

I have to amend my comment from earlier... my husband forgot to pay last month's credit card bill, and they were reaching out to tell me the bill was past due. However, since they did not leave any message, it made it seem as though there was no urgency. I only know what they were calling about because I picked up the second time they called.

My phone identified the caller as Citibank, and they are who I bank with... I chose to let it go to voicemail, but no message was left. Since I am a 30+ year Citibank customer and have an account and more than one credit card with them, I was concerned I might be getting a warning and thought I should call back, but thought "why no message if it's important?" I did the reverse phone look up, and after reading the comments here, I will not be calling. If this is a spam call from MY bank, that's BS!
