Star Wars or Star Trek? Haven’t seen either
Career Aspirations: I would like to become a web developer for a start-up (Spokeo), a company abroad, or a non-profit.
What have you worked on this summer? I have been working on several Spokeo SEO projects that focus on the name-search & phone-search verticals. I also revamped the Spokeo directory. We could also say that I worked on making the intern/marketing/payments wing of the office a little less silent 🙂
Best Spokeo moment so far? Its a close tie between that one time I got JP’s approval on my work-apparel [editor’s note: the Spokeo dress code is pretty casual and Kyle often came to work dressed to the nines!] and the company meetings. The meetings always leave me laughing as well as with a sense of inspiration and motivation. Honestly, the meetings are just a singular concrete example of how awesome the company culture is here at Spokeo.
Do you have any advice for next year’s interns? Keep a good work ethic, but don’t forget to have fun while you are at it! Spokeo fosters a social environment where getting to know the team is relatively easy. Eat lunch in the lunch area, go to the Spokeo sponsored events, and get to know the people you work with on a day-to-day basis.
