Stay Informed: Senate Hearing on Privacy Protections

Today at 2:30 p.m. Eastern, U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation will hold a hearing to examine the recent privacy reports that were released by the Obama Administration and the FTC.

Witnesses on the panel include FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz, FTC Commissioner Maureen Ohlhausen and Department of Commerce General Counsel Cameron Kerry.

I hand carried original medical records from my doctors and hopitals in Houston, Tx. to my medical provider in Illinois in 2000. Now they refuse to give those same records to me to give to the VA because of privacy laws. Seems like an unintended consequence.
